This video shows step-by-step instructions for building Apogee Components' "Katana Jr." mid-power, dual-deployment rocket kit.
Part 1: Motor mount, fins, shock cord.
Part 2: Avionics bay, motor retainer, recovery system, final assembly, finishing.

Cool rocket. I just built the Apogee TTV. It is also a medium powered rocket that has an avionics bay. But it is for timed staging. Katana Jr may be my next rocket. Thanks for the detailed assembly videos.

One question? What size is the Kevlar shock cord? I keep buying reels of kevlar but they are too thin... thank you

The shock cords are 8 feet long each, and appear to be about 300 pound test.
