Another thing: The "Apollo Justice Trilogy" name is actually a little fake. He's the main character of the first game, but in the other ones he's just sharing the game with Phoenix Wright. And he gets a lot of more protagonism than Apollo

Apollo and Athena should ACTUALLY get their own games without Phoenix being the main character for once. I mean, he can be included, but just with more screentime for Apollo and especially Athena.

Calling it the apollo justice trilogy is very clever because in these 3 games are three entirely different characters all named apollo justice.

TAKUMI DIDN'T DIRECT APOLLO JUSTICE! It was directed by Mitsuru Endo. Shu Takumi actually had less involvement in Apollo Justice than Takeshi Yamazaki. He was still involved, but all of his credits pertain to the series as a whole rather than the game.

[Spoilers for AJ] Honestly, the decision to bring Phoenix back to the courts ruined it for me. He had such a grandiose transformation on those 7 years between T&T and AJ, having to deal with the hardest times of his life while taking care of Trucy, bearing the weight of the unfairness AND seeking a way to bring justice to everything. He fitted in the mentor role so perfectly, understanding the courtroom as a true master, while learning its limitations on his own skin. I mean, he spent seven years creating the Jurist System for this. And then... All went to shitland because goofy Phoenix sells more to newcomers. Hell, that's so unfair to him. And mostly for Apollo. He's definitely best boy. Also, the way they made it, I think they introduced Athena too soon. They should either had only Phoenix and Apollo working together (so that each has more cases/screentime) or -- my favorite version -- Apollo and Athena as the new faces of Wright Anything Agency, with Phoenix as the unorthodox mentor. Seriously, that would've been gold.

I'd argue the trilogy name fits. It's not the same as the OG trilogy in the sense that Apollo has to share the spotlight with Phoenix and Athena, but TT and SoJ flesh him out a LOT more than AJ does ironically, even if he's not the "main'" lawyer (now wheter or not they did a good job of it can be aegued, but I personally didn't have a problem with the added backstories)

What each game of Apollo Justice Trilogy feels like : Apollo Justice : Apollo is just a mere plot device, Phoenix is the actual main character while the series is advertising Apollo as the main character. Dual Destinies : Both Apollo and Phoenix (again) are just plot devices, Athena is the actual main character while the series is advertising all Phoenix, Athena, and Apollo as the main characters. Spirit of Justice : Both Phoenix (again?) and Athena are just plot devices, Apollo is the actual main character while the series is advertising both Phoenix and Apollo as main characters. Man I love this trilogy and its severe level of identity crisis

Also I really hope we will one day see the rerelease of the Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright game, since I personally loved that one. Other than that, I at the moment have no bigger complaints.

Even though being made apart 6 years due to devlopment and storyline issues They both takes place right after one another, Dual Destinies takes place less than a year after Apollo Justice In Dual Destinies Apollo Justice Final case takes place in 2026 and first case of Dual Destinies takes place in April, 2027

Well the delay for an AA5 was initially because of Ghost Trick, not AAI. In fact the AAI games only exist to pump more AA content out during the production of Ghost Trick

Small correction: Apollo Justice actually WASN’T directed by Shu Takumi, but instead Mitsuru Endo. While Takumi did write the story for the game and served as a supervisor, he didn’t return for the director’s chair. In fact, other than the OG trilogy, the only games in the series he has directed are the Professor Layton crossover (though that was alongside Atsuhi Kanno) and the Great Ace Attorney duology.

I was just going to watch this short, but when "Apollo is best boy" dropped I left a thumbs up too.

Apollo is great, but they really did Phoenix dirty in AA4. AA5 and AA6 are just their apology for messing with Phoenix like that.

Apollo really got the raw end of the deal. He was the character that got his writers changed in the middle of his own game, so that’s why his writing is so jacked up which is ashamed because I literally love him. He deserved better writing and a better backstory than what he got. The Apollo Justice trilogy my butt! He literally is only fully playable in one game! The other 2 games have Phoenix’s name on it! Even though, I don’t really consider AJ to even be his game- SOJ was his real game! 😭 I’m still salty at how he was treated by the developers!

Apollo Justice's first game has to be the hardest of the Ace attorney series, so I'm glad i'll be able to play it anywhere on my switch. I really hope they give Athena more time in the spotlight too. I wanna see her mature and grow as a lawyer just like Apollo. Plus, she has the best rival as of right now. Simon Blackquill is so cool.

Also the real injustice of these three games is that we never see Gumshoe. Like even Larry appears in Spirit of Justice but no Gumshoe. That’s not fair to him. We know he’s still working as a detective thanks to Edgeworth talking about cutting his salary in Spirit of Justice when Phoenix brings him up.

I really liked the Apollo & Trucy combo of the first game! Athena I wasn't as fond of, but that's because the game became "competing weird powers or tech" the game. Also I just find Trucy more entertaining as the support

Nevermind how this collection, as a collection, is insanely better than the first one

I played Apollo Justice as a teenager and thats where i finally found a proper appreciation for it. Afterwards, the DS broke and we didn't have a 3DS. I then found out they had a release for smartphones, which I patiently waited to get an APK of DD and SOJ. This series isn't connected as much as AA Trilogy or GAA was but SOJ was like a proper sequel to Apollo Justice and it paid off really well

Apollo justice... trilogy? He only had 1 game, dual destinies was a "Pheonix wright return" game, and Spirit of Justice was half Pheonix.
