Yes! We love it! My middle is finishing up level 3 and we already have level 4 ready to start too! My youngest is also doing level 1. She is still in kindergarten (but has been repeating the year, so she is an older kindergartener). The biggest thing I would say is to keep up with the schedule in the teachers guide for reviewing concepts. That will help with fact memorozation

We pretty much do 4 days a week because Tuesdays are crazy for us with piano and dance. Is there anyway to add in some extra practice here and there maybe a couple times a month to make sure they are good with their facts? That may prolong it some too. I guess with doing it 5 days a week it may go quicker.

I will need to make a video comparing MWC and Apologia. I've been using MWC with my youngest in Kindergarten. While still a good program, I don't love the teacher's guide. It's hard for me to follow and also always pulling out more manipulatives (even though they aren't too difficult to find). I do love the book suggestions in MWC though. But from what we know of Apologia Math, I really love the set up. I love the way we review past topics, I love that there isn't too much clutter. and I also love that the activities before the lessons are typically fun games. The hands on activities from MWC K aren't quite as fun in my opinion. I will likely switch my youngest to Apologia next year if it continues to go well for us.

@@schultesweetiesthese are my exact same thoughts. We’re doing Kindergarten MWC. My daughter is thriving with it but I dread it. The teachers guide is hard to get through and pulling out all the things gets to me. Too teacher intensive and too much time wasted.on Kate Snows website I believe she has the list of math books by level if you still want to read them. 😊 Is apologia easier to execute than MWC? I think I might switch her for next year.

I can only speak of MWC Kindergarten. I would say it is somewhat similar. Apologia lessons typically start out with a hands on activity (which is usually something to reinforce the lesson). The lesson teaching is actually pretty short, then there are a couple worksheets usually. You are responsible for reviewing concepts. There is a schedule in the teacher guide. Another thing Apologia has is some mixed review pages at the end of a chapter and at the end of the unit, there is a project of some sort.

I don’t think it will be a huge deal without base ten blocks. So far we haven’t used them a ton. Mainly we use counters and Uno or number cards.

They do have base 10 blocks on Amazon. For ten dollars. My niece and nephew that I Nanny for. Have some homework that I help with. So I bought them to help them.
