I have to start my Monday mornings with Donnie Law's Appalachia Wildlife Videos. My week just can't start off well without them! Morning Mr. Donnie just having my Morning coffee and thought I would relay a little tidbit of information to your readers. The natural lifespan of the opossum in nature is generally 1 -2 years. This being to their high metabolic rate, threats to them, disease and other factors. As you have often stated please don't get attached to these little critters as cute as they may be.They are still wild animals and God knows best. Hope you and Mrs.Laws have a Blessed week. Such beauty! So great to see all these beautiful creatures! I loved to see the baby possum! We've had lots of baby bunnies, birds and squirrels around here, but no fawns yet. They're so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing you little friends in your neck of the woods. It is great to see the different wildlife roaming around were you are. We have pretty much all the same little critters, up here but we don't see any ground hogs, possum's or chipmunks, unless you call a 13 strip ground squirrel they are about the same size as your chipmunks and live in old gopher holes or under wood or rock piles. About an hour ago this morning we watched a cow moose and her calf browsing around the alfalfa bales, while we were out feeding the cattle that was kind of nice to see first thing this morning. The mule and white tail deer have also had there fawns, I am sure you will see yours wandering around with there momma's real soon. Again thanks for sharing, you take care out there and happy trails.

Kind of looks like the pond is filling in with undergrowth. Beautiful activities with all the animals, and your film with the bobcat is amazing. That's an animal I've never been able to see in the wild.

Fawns are dropping in south west Arkansas but they don't know to stay out of the road one learned a hard lesson the other day but he won't repeat it you have a blessed day young man

Good morning Mr. Laws. It is so wonderful to see the little creatures of the forest Ridge. Squirrel little Ricky checks his nut out to see if it is just the right smell of decay. The fawns will be dropping this week or possibly next week. Thank you for a wonderful video. It always helps to see these little foresters.

Fawns are starting to drop here in northwestern NJ. Lots and lots of chippies, too. Can hear the turkeys but have not seen them yet.

I saw two spotted fawns yesterday coming my down my knob.

The Doe's here on the NC side of the mountains are still heavy, I'm guessing it won't be long now before the little fawns appear. 😊
