Do you want to know something funny. The offencive word that black people hate to be called but now thay call each other that word.the people in the south did not penance all words correctly. So the N word is thay say came out slang but it all ment the same it was just said wrong. Not trying to hurt people just bad grammar. But they grabbed hold of the word and road it till today just to have something against white people for no good reason. Lol.

I live in Maryland and this past TURKEY SEASON my brother was turkey hunting just breaking daylight using his turkey caller sitting down at the bottom of a tree trying to call a turkey in ! My brother is early sixties and has hunted since about 14 Years old never had an experience like this recent spring! No it’s wasn’t a Panther but a bobcat jumped on my brother’s back and not sure who was scared the worst but the bobcat jumped and ran away and my brother couldn’t believe what just happen! The bobcat was thinking he was gonna have a big ole turkey for his breakfast! Everyone was ok but very surprised!

Almost didnt open this to watch. More often than not I seen total misinformation by strangers. This was more accurate. I know much more about the splitting of the church than given here. My father could tell that story. But he was warned by the park service and the families involved not to. It was way before the park service came in. The cove people patched the floor and services were continued in that building. Each faction in the dispute held strong feelings forever. My father was Randy Shields and i spent many summers in the cove.

Love this weeks vid. Its crazy but up here in New Hampshire...in about 4-5 weeks we will start seeing the swamp maples start to turn their leaves. At least their tint. My favorite time of the year. Still summer temps, horse flies are dead..and a sneak preview of Nature's big finale. Keep up the good work Donnie

There is NO such thing as an Indian Trail Marker Tree. It is completely ludicrous to even think it could be true. These trees happen naturally all the time. If a native had tried to follow them they would be going in circles in no time. This is just made up folklore.

Donnie, I could've swore I had subscribed to your channel a couple years ago, but it shows I'm Not subscribed? So I will re-hit the button! The content you create works better than any blood-pressure meds. I personally didn't grow up in the South, but my ancestors did. They all started to move into Indiana and Illinois back in the 1860s and 1870s after living in Virginia-N. Carolina-Tennessee since 1740s or so. In fact, one of my 5th(?) great grandfathers was the first non-native to settle west of the first row of Appalachian Mountains. On his land now sits Virginia Tech. His name was Adam Harmon (Hermann). But also, my father spent a year in Nashville, TN back in 1962-63 when the plant shut down and not enough jobs were available for abt 700 men laid off. Mom, sis & I was trying to get the house sold...to no avail. Long story, but we all stayed in West-Central Indiana but Dad came back with an accent. He said it was so much like how his grandparents spoke (Hazel Dell, IL) that it was natural to him. I myself say a few things, esp. warsh the dishes, my hubby and daughter 'correct' me all the time! ☺

thank you Mr Donnie. How do you get used to being without your elders? I'm 63 and can't adjust to being without them. I'm the elder now, but I still feel like a lost little kid. I just stay in the house and avoid social situations. I almost wish I could go and be where my family is, on the other side.

Lived in NC my whole life. All kinds of tales about things seen in the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have seen the strange lights on Brown Mountain. Bigfoot also lives in these mountains. I know someone that lived on the same mountain as bigfoot. He was an honest man. Best to leave the wildlife alone. Love the Blue Ridge Parkway! Heaven on earth. Plants always changing with the seasons. Makes it gorgeous all year round. ❤
