Super finds! The old Tine fork would be an artifact I would love to find. That KG2 and Tombacs were awesome. The D2 rocks!

That old granny fork was a neat find, I have an old one with 3 tines wooden handle, it came out of an estate sale in an old Hoosier cabinet. I like the coin and the buttons ,too. Let's go find some more.😊🙏

Nice finds, some guys here in southwest NH are digging similar items from the same era or close to it. Old cellar holes and stone walls are where they find most of the stealth diggers episodes. Nice day, great country. ✌

yep up there in New England seems to be where very old sites are. I watch Not Thursday, Stealth Diggers and of course GMMD and they all find old places up there. Here in Virginia is the same. The closer to the coastline the older the sites. I'm on the western frontier and beyond the Blue Ridge and still amazed they made it over there by the 1730's.....that was almost 30 years before the French and Indian War and when Indians were still a common sight.

I know what the thing is that you dug at 10:50 . It is a Hand Forged Iron Ram's Head Wing Nut from the Late 1700's Early 1800's . Todd I would your videos if you was only digging up old rusty Bean cans lol . Because you find so much very good artifacts and relics to justify the trash my friend . Plus all the History you share .

Somebody's warming up to the DEUS! 😁 The more you learn it the more you love it! That thing could find a silver splinter in a raccoons back end 50 yards away once you really get the hang of it! And Deep HC goes pretty deep too! I've added Gary's sonar program which can be very beneficial! Good work buddy!- Chad

You got that right! I'm still testing various programs currently so each time I video, I'm on a different program. The Deus 2 is not a beginners detector for sure. Each program can unlock targets differently so it is good to test its capabilities. I still use the Minelab at times....it does perform better in certain conditions and that is what is great about this hobby...take care Chad!!!

Way to go. The XP is a great machine. Love all the new finds. The Scottish detetectorist uses same machine and has fantastic finds. Of course being in Scotland his finds are occasionally a bit older 😊. Check him out. Still love Todd's channel!

Yep he is on my Subscriber list. I wish he and the Terra Germania would post their settings though and have their videos be some teaching...I talk to Chill Bill (UK) and he uses one too, but states he uses stock settings. Brad Martin also uses the Deus 2 but he does not disclose his settings either. Not sure why this is so.....I talk to Calabash Digger and he has entire videos on settings....he and I talk over the phone and he helped set me up on some good programs....thanks for the compliment.....have a great week.

I think I'll be ordering one of those pending your review. Congratulations on the KG2 Todd. There were some really nice findings. Loved the design on the shoe buckle and a few of your buttons. I'm really drawn to the Ram's head nut. Pretty intricate for a nut. I'd love to see it all cleaned up. The blacksmith serving this area seems to have really take pride in his work.

Glad you enjoyed it Roger. Yep I have "graduated up" so to speak. These are very complex and complicated machines and I would not want to start with them without building up to them. The Garrett was like pre-school. The Minelab like High School. The XP like college.

Todd, I think your talk with the bull worked. Great finds, the KG was fantastic. Loved the fancy on the buttons and the fork tine. You looked tired, tough trying to dig deeper and do live digs with one hand. 👍👏😀

LOL that bull was pre-occupied with the cows thankfully. I've been chased up a tree by a bull before so I know what they are capable of. Someone else said I looked tired....sometimes I do after digging so many holes. viewers don't realize how many plugs must be dug in order to find some decent artifacts....nothing like this hobby....I tell my wife it's like digging a hundred fence post holes just to make a 15-25 minute video....I can feel it at the end of the day.

We do a wrap up video at the end of our hunts. Not what most viewers may like, but it works for us because we hunt so hard and only have so much time to spend together. We dig it all. 😀👍

I know it is hard not to go back and I've been there so many times I will be sad when the day comes that there aren't any more signals. This is my most favorite site in all the years I've been doing this. I believe I have found over 75 coins on this farm....maybe more.

I fell asleep last night and didn t get to watch this one till today. That coin was an awesome find. Is that the oldest coin you've ever found. I think everything you find is amazing. Just to hold something in your hand that those hardy people used back then would be amazing. Do you have a museum or exhibit area of all your finds. I would love to see all the things you've found overnthe years. You may have posted it and I just haven't found it yet. I start going thru your older videos and always get stopped on one or more of my favorites and research them. Lol. Take care and stay away from the full but especially the hunters. They are more dangerous than any bull I've ever encountered and I've done my fare share of herding mom's cows and bulls when they would escape the pasture. She would take me and grandpa to where ever they were at and I had to walk behind with a switch while grandpa put the rope in them and walked them home. I was also married to a hunter and believe I know which is worse. Lol. God bless you and your family and may this new year bring you many treasures.

Hey Gay there are some channels that I turn on in order to take a nap or get sleepy...Mortis Media is one of them. I can be wide awake, turn that channel on and be off to dreamland in no time!! LOL The coin is not my oldest. I thought it might be my oldest KG2 if the 1729 date I thought it was turned out right. I have a 1730 KG2. When I learned it was a 1739 I was a bit disappointed it didn't beat my record. I have a 1717 Bolivian Reale and have a couple of coins from the 1600's but their condition is so bad neither are display pieces.

Can you explain the difference between a shank and tomback button?

A shank is on the backside of all buttons and what attaches the button to the garment. A Tombac is a material used in the early to late 1700's...tin, copper and lead. It was easy to break compared to brass buttons which came later and replaced them. Tombac replaced Pewter buttons which were more fragile. Hope this helps.

It’s real complicated with all the programs. I had to get some seasoned experts on the phone and one to come by to help me with the best settings. It is not a beginners machine for sure!

@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives I did the same thing and took it to a couple sites I had hammered. I didn’t seem to find anything my nox didn’t already find. I found it to be a pain in the butt for the most part having to charge coils, head stock, headphones then the lower shaft snapped in half on me second time I used it. You can have it lol.
