It's a place I've seen on early maps and knew it was settled early. Today at the invitation of Scott Bean we get a look under the surface for what these early pioneers left behind.

Scott is certainly blessed to live in that beautiful place. I do hope they hold family reunions there. I remember going to the ones in the mountains of NC when I was younger. We had so much fun and the food was awesome. I really miss those days. Thank you for sharing your adventures and thank Scott for sharing his family home and it's history

Thanks for sharing this and the map early in the video. My family is originally from this area. Seeing “Doman” on the map and 1808 by it is incredible! I’m curious if you’d have any more info on the Doman history in WV? My grandfather left when he was young with my great grandfather and never talked much about it before he passed. Thanks!

Well Todd, not alot of great finds on this outing but you did find some old relics of long ago, time that has passed on. An what a wonderful place to just spend the day in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. You know as well as i do that there are lots there to be found just a matter of locating it. An i know you will. That sounds like a great idea of attempting to locate the old moonshine hangout. You might just locate some awesome relics that the moonshiners may have left behind. Todd another awesome video my friend. Have a great week. An we will catch you on another awesome adventure. 😁👍👍

@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives Todd Yes the grass is high here and the ground is like concrete. Lack of rain has caused that. I found .58 (2 ) .54 (1) Sharps (1) .44 (4) Pinfire (1) Round ball (1) GS button (1) Iron bucket ( Cav ??? ) and what looks like a mid air collision of 2 bullets not sure. Of course I found the usual nails wire aluminum cans and some I dont knows
