The masterclaw description superseding the bonus claw makes sense, but they could make it slightly clearer by saying "you can only have one claw" instead of "you only have one claw."

It does look like it evokes the feeling of a claw machine. Namely the "why didn't that grab it" part

The roguelike/lite craze has been producing wildly better games than the battle-royal craze or even the never ending survival-craft craze.

People have no clue how to critique games lol. There is no reason why you would need to be told that the double claw & the master claw wouldn't work together. It's a roguelike. A roguelike does not need to tell you every single thing about how it works, the first time you play it. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it probably shouldn't. Also, you could've guessed that it works that way, before taking them. Also, why the hell are people even trying to compare this to Balatro? It makes no sense. There is barely anything similar about them, and this game sure as hell wasn't made after Balatro became public knowledge. "Hurr durr. Look at this shitty game piggybacking off the success of this completely different game that came out 2 months ago." Whether or not you like this game, it's exactly what it says on the tin: A claw machine roguelike. It's gonna be just as potentially frustrating as an actual claw machine. Why would you ever expect anything different?

I feel like this game has a lot of potential with a little polish. The concept is really fun!

The claw works very predictably tbh. I don't know how you don't expect all the stuff to fall out if you try to grab items 3x the diameter of the claw.

Finally, a bad gambling roguelike. It would be like peglin if getting a single bad shot made you lose 90% of your health to a common.

I will say this one feels more like a proof of concept rather than a actual demo tbh

Man it’s crazy how when a rogue like game like balatro happens everyone follows suit and try’s to make a good similar game. It started out in just poker and similar concepts. Then they go a different direction. Then it’s so different that it can’t be associated and then it becomes inspiration for the next cycle. I love it

I don’t think the claw is rigged. I think it’s that when you miss the magnets, they try to pull the items back towards themselves, making them harder to grab

Most of the times he missed was because he was putting the claw dead center on the item. You’ve gotta line up the edge of the claw with the item to get it

I'm only a quarter of the way through the video and you may figure it out later on but I'm thinking the water in the machine makes the fluff sink and the items float or maybe it makes the shields float

I mean, in the first game you took multiple things that self-damaged, with no way of like... undoing damage taken? it was honestly a recipe for disaster, especially with no knowledge of potential healing

Fluff seems to not affect if something is "alone"

Big Sapling looks too close to Chomper Brute from Bug Fables? A little sus?

If you can get it built up properly there's a build that got me pretty far, though it's a rather scummy build honestly. I forget what the items names are but essentially it's a stall build, you get the perks and items that give armor and allow you to keep armor into the next claw grab for the start. Then you poison them, while also using brass knuckles to get dodge so they can't hit you, and they slowly die to poison. Eventually they get so much Health and damage that this does become useless, but if you build it right, it'll still be very effective if you have healing items as well. So like I said, a rather scummy build, but it is very effective, and honestly probably already well used among players. Edit: Also for that giant moth creature, there's 3 different versions of it, I don't remember them fully but there's that green and pink one you had first, then the purple one, and a red(?) one, and if I remember correctly the purple is the easiest to fight, in my experience at least.

This one is a miss in my opinion, barely involves around the claw itself unlike other casino roguelikes like bingle bingle, balatro and luck be a landlord. This game is more similar to peglin. It would be better if you can change the way it takes the items like bigger claw.

Who here agrees that the word rougelike has lost its meaning. It is definitionally supposed to be 'Like Rogue' such as Nethack, CavesOfQud, ThePit... Procedural generation and death mechanics do not make a game 'like rouge'. It feels like a BIG stretch, such as calling Crazy Taxi a metroidvania. Back me up.
