I am mostly using safari because i am in the apple ecosystem and it helps a lot to have same browser tabs open across the devices or some continuity features. I also like safari more because it’s user data friendlier than chrome/ chromium. I‘ve used a lot of google services but after i digded a bit deeper in the rabbit-G-hole i found so many things google wrote down like , where i was, what i‘ve searched and more, it was very creepy.

I dont believe that other companies like Apple dont do that. Apple is definitely not on the good side. In general they are as bad as other big companies like Facebook, Google etc. But of course if you are totally into the Apple ecosystem Safari makes sense

I love Safari because it is clean, fast and minimalist. It functions just for one thing: web browser and nothing else: no ads, no news, no distracting bells and whistles that just bloated all other browsers.

@@TheYoungWolf077 You can use cmd + [ for back and cmd + ] for forward. Or you can use the trackpad gesture, which also works on other browsers. Hope this helps.

I tried to break away from Safari, I switched to the Orion browser, which is beautiful at first glance, but it buggy. Every time I switched to a different browser, Safari surprised me with its appearance, its battery life, its different design and features, the loading speed of the sites I use frequently (for me, it's not the loading speed of the sites, but the loading speed of the sites that I visit all the time). I currently have the Vivaldi browser installed in the back for extensions, but Safari has become my main browser no matter how hard I try to switch another browser.

@@bogxd Visually Safari is better, and less intrusive than Chrome, it has Reader View to get rid of ads and unnecessary material on the page and excellent *Print to pdf* that automatically applies the Page title to the pdf file. The tabs work better, you can find which is running video, and turn off the audio just for that, it is fast to create the tabs and flick between them and a host of other reasons. Have no idea why you don't like *Preview.* It is a remarkable media viewer with a long list of sophisticated but easy to use editing tools. I only wish there is anything remotely like it in Windows or Linux. I do find it frustrating when people pointlessly say "I don't like..." or "I like..." without substantiating why. Who cares about your personal likes and dislikes, nobody is going to change just to copy what you do. Give *Reasons* you know those hard to express facts *why* anyone should choose one piece of software over another.

The only thing stopping me from switching to Safari is watching KZfaq at 2x speed sounds terrible and is not as seamless and quick when switching between speeds compared to chromium browsers. So I end up using Edge since it's mostly similar to Chrome, plus some extra features like the natural and fluent read aloud feature for websites and PDFs, and the built in Bing Chat AI.

That's now been fixed in the Safari Technology Preview. Finally! So it looks like that will come to the regular Safari browser at some point soon, hopefully.

I actually used it regardless of the sound and I must say I don't even notice it at that point anymore haha. I use Accelerate to switch between speeds via keyboard shortcuts and it works very well for me

Finally switched from Safari to Arc after long years with it, Will never go back. Safari is one of the worst Apple products, many sites are not displayed correctly on it, no normal library of extensions, loading sites slower than arc or any other chromium-based browser, also Arc updates his product very often, every week or two delivering new features.

I use Safari for all my browsing except when I work with inspecting web stuff for my frontend work in software development. The Chrome web inspector is superior and easier to use. Aside from that use case, Safari is my go-to.

this was super useful, i just needed bookmarks at the top. Also never knew tab groups were a thing! Its time i think for me to switch from chrome. Idk why but its just been slow and sluggish even with adblocker off. I find safari is snappier nowadays. I am on an i9 intel 2019 macbook pro

You can add any chrome extension to your safari and yes it works. Google has tutorials how to do that

Once in couple months I kinda forget all the stuff about Safari and give it another chance. After the maximum of 2 days, I quit it again, then come back to my note named 'Why I always quit Safari' and being kinda 'Ah, that's why' usually populating it with one or more items which pissed me off this time. Here are the items in my list for the time being: - Non-YT videos may suddenly stop playing - Tab management is insanely bad - No normal PiP out of the box - Speeded up videos sound extremely bad - Lack of extensions I used to, others are paid - Feature updates and bug fix latency I used to come back to Microsoft Edge. But couple weeks ago I discovered Arc and now I can't use any browser but Arc since the rest seem clunky. You should give it a try.

I agree about everything you said. Compared to Chrome, Edge etc, Safari is 50% lighter. Okay maybe it has something to do with I use it on a MacBook Air M3, but Safari is the best browser. What AdBlocker should I use? I use First AdBlocker, which I have heard is the best. What do you mean?

favourites arent bookmarks, theres a seperate category for them, just click on the bar with it will be saved - you can pick more than just favourites

I love Huawei, but the ban put on it by the US government made one of their phones difficult to use due to the lack of the play store and the lack of android/google add-ons. That’s why I decided to try Apple and... I think I’m going to stay with Apple

The only reason why I'm not using Safari that much is because of the lack of an option to set where to open the 'new tab'. Currently, it opens all the way to the end and I want it to open to the right of the current tab.

The only problem I have with safari is that it redirects me to the NA version of some sites (in in Europe) no matter what search engine no matter what I try, which annoys me a lot, but on firefox it just works so I use that , even if some people might argue it’s flawed etc I don’t really care I just want it to be safe and for it to work 😂

You are missing out how capable the Preview app is. Why not revisit it? It could potentially save you some money to buy other apps or save u time and space by using other apps.

i absolutely hate safari and the main reason is because when i swipe on my trackpad to go back, it slides the page back with an animation which looks cool, but then just proceeds to reload the page. like if ur gonna have to reload the page what is the point of the sliding animation, and it doesnt even reload right away. Ive compared it to chrome and its almost 2-3 times slower than chrome. not to mention safari doesnt have many of the extensions that chrome has. Ive honestly tried using safari just cause it looks prettier but its so many little things about it that makes me feel super slow and annoying.

the reason i went back from safari to firefox, my beloved, is due to ublock origin not being available on safari. also, safari is slow and sluggish af when doing multiple things at once. and no, orion browser with ublock isn't as effective, and neither is adguard.

I honestly think that profiles and tab groups where better implemented on Safari. Tab groups can become really messy on Chrome, and I don't want to use a separate account for profile.

It’s easy you just need to press Control + E + A + C call your mother tell her you love her, take three steps back four steps to left jump three times. Like I’m sorry but the fact that you have to remember all these commands for basic shit, I don’t understand why anyone bothers.

great video! thank you. The only thing I h@te about Safari is the error that occur time to time - "Safari Can’t Find Server". It happens at random sites and only turn on/turn off Wi-Fi helps. It never happens in any other browser on my Mac, so I consider to move from this beauty but annoying browser to some ugly Chrome or Firefox. Unfortunately. Anyone know how to fix it?
