Thank you! It has been driving me crazy, but I wanted to give companies time to catch up. At CES, I saw several *GREAT* chargers announced, but none supported Fast Charge on Apple Watch! It has to change!

Just picked up the 20W Apple USB-C Power Charger, which supports the higher speeds when used with the included Apple Watch 7 charging cable. Annoyed I have to pay the $20 tax, but it is well worth the hugely increased charging speeds!

Got a series 7 and a few apple fast chargers on 20w bricks - beside bed / on work desk. But bought a couple of Elago W3 watch holders that charge it In nightstand mode , at fast charge speed cause they are vertical holders that you use the original apple charger in . Such a good solution - like the apple charging dock but half price , with fast charge , and so cool looking in beige mimicking a Mac. Love the solution .

When I upgraded to an iPhone 13 and got a Series 7 I went for the Belkin 3in1 charger for home and have the puck + 20W USB-C in my handbag.

Yes! I just spent a few hours looking over the 3-in-1 chargers at Amazon and discovered this! I'm brand new to the iWatch so I wanted to get a nice dock to charge my devices. I realized that none of the ones for sale have a 5W charger for the watch area, despite all the listings claiming support for the Series 7 (I'm sure they will charge it but not quick charge). As a follow-up to this video, can you do one on what we could use that supports fast charging? I'm leaning towards just a stand so I can use my original charging puck but it's not ideal. Thanks!!

I use the puck from my Apple Watch series 3. I have used it since the 3. I charge Watch 7 overnight. No issues.

My satechi quattro powebank charges my s7 0-100 in 1h 30 min. It is ok i often charge from. 30% so it takes around a hour

I’ve definitely been surprised how much faster the fast charging is. It has definitely felt like a much larger improvement than 30%. Since I wear my watch to sleep, being able to quickly charge during the day has been great.

I use to like using the MagSafe Duo but its been unusable now. With fast charging I'm able to sleep with my watch. Makes it tough to when you don't have a fast charging cable on trips!

Yeah I made the mistake of buying the duo. Dang! Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get some wireless charging earbuds at some point. Wish the Beats Fit Pro supported it.

For me (series 6 user) charging speed has never ever been an issue. I use a third party stand and it charges it in around 75 minutes

I charge my Apple Watch twice a day. Once in the morning after I wake up because I wear it to bed for sleep tracking and then when I get home from work. I’ve never needed a portable charger or a fast charger for that matter

I purchased the Belkin BoostCharge Pro in early March. It fast charged my AW 7 initially, but after a software upgrade to 8.5.1 it no longer fast charged, and In fact it hardly charged the watch at all (3% power in 20 minutes). Belkin is aware of the problem (which seems to have something to do with the latest software upgrade) but they have no fix for it. After waiting a month for some sort of resolution I finally took the charger back to Apple and they refunded me. Too pricey for such poor performance!

Belkin’s new 3 in 1 dock that supports fast charging on the apple watch has been terrible since 8.5 and 8.5.1 per all the reviews. I was gonna get one. But gonna hold off and keep using the puck that came with my series 7

I wrote one of those bad reviews on Belkin's site not too long ago. We purchased the 3-in-1 boost pro charger in early March and it worked for a couple of weeks, until we updated the iWatch software to 8.5.1. At that point the charger stopped fast charging, and in fact it hardly charged our watches at all (3% power in 15-20 minutes). After many calls and emails to Belkin they acknowledged a problem exists, but have no fix for it. After waiting 3 weeks to hear back from them I took the charger back to Apple and they refunded me. I won't buy from Belkin again since they don't stand behind their products and their tech support is useless! Until a new multi-device charger that supports fast iWatch charging becomes available we're back to using the original Apple puck.

My Series 6 charges fully in just over an hour on a normal charger. Has Apple slowed down the charging of its Series 7 to make fast chargers look good? Also would the fast chargers be suitable for older and current watches models, like the Series 6 and the SE? If not, it makes it even more confusing for the consumer wanting to buy a charger.

I agree, it is confusing! Fast Charge is only supported on the Series 7. And no, they haven't slowed anything down on the new ones and I tested the speeds on a Series 6 as well. Same results. Could be your battery health or the size of your watch? Apple should only sell fast chargers that way no matter the watch, you'll get the best speeds possible.

People just love to complain. I have used the series 7 everyday since November 2021 and I have never had any issues with the charging capability. I have no problem using it all day, charging it briefly, then having it for sleep monitoring

it is all about money making for Apple. I hate it when they always change ports and chargers, everything is incompatible. I lost my original apple watch & charger but why they can not make regular USB cable for fast charging? Now I have to buy special apple usb-c cable and a power brick.

It should be for a number of reasons. Shipping USB-A is backward thinking and won't be around long. Nearly all of Apple's products have dropped all USB-A ports. Plus, USB-C can handle faster charging speeds and more efficiently.

It does. USB-C fast charger dock but there is no wall charger so you have to buy one to get fast charge. The only reason to make this empty video is just to say that there is not much options to get aftermarket stuff for series7

Empty video..! That hurts a little! I think it is very frustrating that months after the watch, Apple hasn't updated its own accessories, let alone allow third-parties to do so. What is the point of introducing a new feature if no one can use it outside the puck in the box? People dont want to buy new chargers every year and all of these $100+ chargers from Belkin , Mophie, & Hyper all don't support it. It sucks!

After 8.5.1 update on Series 7, fast charging is working in India. Battery life also improved.

There are THREE speeds of chargers. There's the usb C fast charging pucks, and I expect that these charge at 3 or 3.5 watts. The charger that came with the series 6 watch charges at 2 watts. And previous models of chargers charge at 1 watt. If you buy a cheap charger on Amazon, it will be a 1 watt charger probably. It looks like this video is comparing the newest charger to the oldest charger, and is skipping over the series 6 charger which is not what apple was comparing against. Apple was comparing the series 7 charging against the series 6 charging.
