The last time Apple celebrated the 10th anniversary of anything, we got a completely new design, so it totally makes sense for a certain batch of rumors that this is the year for Apple Watch. As opposed to all the S years from the iPhone, the Apple Watch has maintained a predictable change in series every year, and if we're honest, we haven't seen anything major since Series 7. Sure, the Ultra has brought a new breath to the lineup, but it doesn't change the fact that the bestselling variants are the regular ones, and rumors have some major changes coming later this year.

Meh, I just find it odd there is nothing you can do in the settings to have the watch last 2 weeks on a charge. Step counts, notifications and sleep tracking shouldn’t eat up a days worth of battery. I have the Huawei GT3 watch and a Casio G-shock that do these and they both last over a week, so problem solved. When I had my Apple Watch I kept leaving the house at least once a week forgetting to charge it, so I ended up just walking around with a bracelet. People need to complain about this more 😂

@@sloppynyuszibecause the Huawei and Casio are just fitness trackers, Apple Watches do a lot more so the OS eats up the battery.

Fr. That’s why I’m like there’s really nothing that could be that interesting about the new watch because the only notable addition to watchOS recently was pride wallpapers and my series 6 and 8 didn’t even get those so I feel like if you have any functioning Apple Watch you’re probably good 💀

Still using a series 5 and have been waiting for a compelling upgrade for years, now series 5 isn’t supported on watchOS 11, so really hoping series 10 will have meaningful upgrades

Got a series 5 watch too, am currently looking at some regular watches and will probably just go with the new AW SE3 if that comes out just to use to track my outdoor walks

another series 5 user here, I'm thinking about getting the AW X if the redesign is really good, but if not, I'll probably wait for some kind of sale on the Ultra 3. If they're finally changing the band attachment mechanism might as well upgrade to a watch that has that new system

Why change a good design?!!! These watches rocks. The best and no others even come close!!! Apple need to keep the smaller sizes too, for people with smaller wrists.

My Series 4 is no longer supported after this year so I will either upgrade if I decide it’s worthy or I’ll just drop the Apple 🍎 Watch entirely.

@@KD-lb9bg Yeah the SE watches seem pretty good. I have a pretty good feeling the series x won’t be very exciting ONLY because watch OS is pretty barebones. They could do anything with the watch but if the experience is the same idk how great it could be tbh 🤷‍♂️😭

In a video yesterday another person said that they are keeping the same watch band as the current models. Don’t know if that’s true or not. Just have to wait.

I’ve had my Apple Watch fall off with the magnetic clasp on the leather band, I dunno how much I trust the bands being magnetically connected to the watch itself. I mean hell, think about all the people that lose apple pencils from their iPads. The magnetic charging for pencils is great, but their first party accessories don’t even provide a way to secure them in place. Samsung and Microsoft both have great ways to cover up their styluses with their keyboard cases. Idk what’s apple’s obsession with making everything only magnetic even when there are certain things that should connect more securely.

I honestly don’t get the complaints about battery. I take my watch off to charge when I shower and that’s it? I mean, I shower every day so charging it when I do is so simple.

The ultra needs a smaller size. A lot of people want ultra and willing to pay ultra price but the current size is too big for them. If they make that they’d double or triple their ultra sales

I hope the ultra 3 doesn’t get bigger. It makes sense that they would just trim the boarders on the display since there’s a good 2-2.5mm of black border around the edge. All I want on the ultra 3 is 5+ days battery life in normal operation mode and 7+ in battery saver mode. Focus on efficiency. Also if they could bring Apple Intelligence to the Apple Watch then that would be awesome even if it’s just leveraging the phone to process requests and using super fast wifi to transfer the necessary data between the watch and phone.

I have the same reservations about larger size, but I'm keeping an open mind until I see Series 10 (X). If it's a thinner design as rumored, it may actually look good and fit those with thinner wrists. We'll see.

Posting actual pictures like other sites have of just how thin this is would be great, also forget magnet attachment bands,they will be kept as the Ultra needs them certainly, Just when Samcrap try release an Ultra copy, you have to pity them, 😂😂

What bothers me with the idea of a magnetically attaching band is will the magnets be strong enough to hold the band to the watch all the time say for instance when swimming?

That would be the SE series. That's Apple's most affordable watch. If you're considering it, wait for the newest one rather than buying an older series of SE.

I have an Apple Watch Series 7, I also have Samsung and just got the OnePlus watch 2. It’s been 5 days and the OnePlus watch 2 has 13% battery left. I wear it all week even during work outs and not once had to charge it. It has a large bright beautiful display. My Apple Watch and Samsung need to be charged every day. I really like the OnePlus. This is outside of the battery life. I just like the watch. After wearing the OnePlus the Apple Watch feels dated and small.

Still needs a 41mm version, tech is cooler the smaller it can be.. i always now buy the smallest smartwatch it feels more futuristic. And under screen fingerprint scanner is crying out to be used on a watch

This Apple Watch would cause a lot of people to switch to Samsungs copy of the Watch ultra cos it looks modern and has more color. Apple to rethink their design

I haver an AWU (v1). It’s ok, verging quite good, but the battery is soooo unacceptable it’s a joke. Until apple can sort out a decent cell life it’s not a viable product. “All day battery” is just BS, my daily is a Garmin Marq, battery is 15-20 days, and it’s by no means Garmins longest. Apple has a loooong way to go before this product is anything other than a toy

If the Apple watches are getting even bigger in size, I‘m out! This, making every generation of phones and watches bigger and bigger is getting ridiculous! I can slap my iPhone mini on my wrist now (btw, Apple should bring the mini back and might even offer a mini Pro version!!) and use my iPad mini as a phone if this laughable trend continues! Honestly, as a woman, my current Apple watch series 6 is big enough for me! Should they increase the sizes even further I might upgrade to the series 9 but then I‘m out!

Why can't they use motion of the scroll wheel to recharge the always on display? I'm sure it'd take no more turns than winding the spring watches of yesteryear. And if the idea's not patented yet and Apple uses my idea, I believe in the honour system and trust Apple does too.

Umm this is comparing oranges to apples. Mechanical watches need very little energy to work, unlike a smartwatch. Look at quartz watches, those can go on for years with a single battery, unlike the apple watch. A smartwatch just needs much, much more energy.

@@whyler1 I was referring solely to the basic function of a watch, the date and time being always on display. In other words you could keep using it as a normal watch until its recharged to regain smart watch functionality.

@@kevin_mitchell yeah well, even on AOD requires significantly more energy than a quartz watch. Still need to run all background processes, a whole screen etc. Its just not comparable. Just think about it: how much can your apple watch withstand while youre not using it vs how much a quartz watch can withstand like that.
