Many years ago I decided to apply tung oil with my bare hands. Never saw anyone else do that and today I see this video and I am so happy to see someone else do that. Your technique is wonderful. I'll be experimenting with some ways of making a kerf that's not as ragged as a band saw - perhaps a very small diameter router bit. Thank you very much.

Inspired by your videos. I tried this pattern with satisfactory success, however, I have since ordered a couple of 4-way equal pressure clamps!! I also used walnut (love the richness). After initial glue up I cut the board down the middle to make cutouts for the heart (maple, very thin and also had to soak) then glued it back together again before making all the vertical and horizontal cuts. This was the only deviation I did from your video. Now that I have the 4-way equal pressure clamps I plan to try it again soon. Thank you for sharing your videos.
