@@MicDropBBQI made effort last night to get Uber to upgrade my last ride from UberX to XL. They took the option out of my app now. Remember that $60 ride they were only going to pay me $4.95 for?? Maybe you need to show that video again. Here's what Uber did to me last night... I sent Kev the photos, as well as Uber Support! Uber is allowing some kind of entity calling itself "Guest R" in the app as the account holder, that requests an Uber X ride for a third party who is described as "wearing a hoodie, has a cane and a "service animal." Rider is across the street from the local hospital waiting "near the Del Taco" which is closed at 3:00 AM. I should not be getting ANY pings from Guest R, as I have given Guest R a 1-star rating TWICE. What does Uber's guidelines say about rating an account holder/passenger 3 stars or below? The account holders are responsible for their riders' behaviors, correct? Because I am the ONLY UBERX/UBER XL in the area at 3 AM, I accepted the UberX request and specifically advised Guest R that I would assess the situation upon arrival to rider's location. Guest R advised me IN APP that passenger had a cane and a "service animal." What would ANY REASONABLE DRIVER proceed to do with this in app personal information about the rider, knowing the threat of deactivation by Uber, according to its TOS for discriminating against anyone according to the Americans with Disabilities Act? There was no upfront price for this fare, just information that trip was 32 minutes. Guest R would not advise driver in advance of rider's destination, but wanted me to click on a link in the customer messaging section within the app if I felt like I could not complete the ride. After assessment of rider, who did not walk with a cane because I saw him in Walmart just 3 hours prior, and he helped me select a new phone charger for my passengers, I was concerned as to why Guest R would lie to me and tell me the rider was a "cane" user, as well as had a "service animal." I asked rider, "Where is your service animal?" He replied, "at home." I asked, "Why didn't you order an XL for this ride for all of your packages?" He said, "I didn't order it. I had to go through "GoGoGrandparent" to request a ride. I've been standing out here in the cold for a very long time waiting for a ride." I had only been on the UberXL & Connect apps for quite a while but Uber was not offering me any rides, and UberX had previously shown a surge, so when I turned on my UberX preference to get a ride on surge, the surge went away. This happens a lot. Uber will tell riders that XL is 13 minutes away (when I'm really only 5-6 minutes away), and give rider option to select UberX because UberX is closer and cheaper. No matter what, every rider gets an XL vehicle if I'm their driver. When Uber allows account holders/riders that have been previously given a 1-star, as in "Guest R," who has received a 1-star from me TWICE, Uber still sends me pings from "Guest R." Now "Guest R" is being allowed to put info into the app stating," passenger is wearing hoodie, has cane and a "service animal." I didn't discriminate. I picked up the passenger at 3 in the morning, in the cold rain, thinking I was assisting a disabled person. It turned out, the guy claimed he was a millionaire, had a freaking "electronic WOOF brand toy dog in a loaded up shopping cart and other luggage. Uber refused to upgrade the ride to XL at my request as an Independent Contractor, claiming I had to pick up 5 or more people with my XL vehicle in order to receive XL pricing. Now Uber has allowed "Guest R" to operate not only as a hospital coordinator account holder, but also as "GoGoGrandparent," and allowed this company to circumvent the ADA laws, while discriminating against this female driver, whose services were evidently not worth a box of chocolates, but millionaire rider received two complimentary blueberry fig bars from me. My rider, no matter what, knew in my car, Here U Matter! And he was quite the gentleman. However, what if he was not. He did mention that the ADA laws had been changed, and that no one could ask any questions at all pertaining to a "Service Animal." I reminded him that only Congress can create laws, not the Executive branch. Uber is going down. We the 300! See y'all on the Mic Drop BBQ! BTW, Uber Support... Only Congress can create laws and Acts, such as the ADA of 1970. Electronic toy dogs are not designated as "service animals" nor are they emotional support animals. And Uber is not the 4th branch of government. I don't care what anyone in Silicon Valley says. Everyone knows what an Independent Contractor is/was before Uber was invented. Uber's business practices are UNCONSCIONABLE, UNETHICAL & ILLEGAL! And all Uber Support techs denying Independent Contractors their fair fare are aiding & abetting the destruction of the US middle class. How do you educated idiots even sleep at night? ☑️

HIs challenge is about the apps. My challenge is about MONEY. We ain't the same. Dude really thinking he can ignore REALITY and sit up there chasing app challenges while we're out here making MORE on cash rides. We ain't even in the same ARENA of rideshare. Dude is out of his league dealing with cash drivers like us. He's a pigeon hoping for a damn challenge that pays worth a damn.

They try that with me all the time. I laugh. I think the app is realizing drivers are sharp enough to know we can make more WITHOUT them, if we want. They're doing whatever it takes to keep drivers on the platform. The moment we choose a W2 that pays better, they know the driver most likely won't come back. New drivers fall victim of the whole "this pays better than my last job" syndrome, until they get a few car repairs that they can't afford. Now they're stuck without a way to make money. At a W2, you can have a busted car and still make money. Rideshare is PURELY about the car, and if you don't have the tools, you're not gonna be able to create the money you need. The apps leave that part out when they bring new drivers on. They don't tell em that they won't make enough to pay for shop repairs AND pay for living expenses.

FACTS! These pigeons have no idea. We do this for a LIVING. They do this to stay busy. We aint the same. If we ain't making profits, don't even bother us about moving these vehicles. We ain't running for popcorn rides, smashing cars up for pennies on the dollar of what we actually make.

I think it's disingenuous of you to make it seem as if I wanted to "drag you down" to my level with the apps when I'm literally saying you can use your cash rides in your calculation. We have you saying that a competition based on profits is a better idea, and then when you realize that's actually what the competition is, you drum up new excuses not to do it. I believe the proposal is fair and balanced, taking into account all aspects of the discussion. Instead of just being talk, let's run the numbers and see who is running the more profit-based business.

At the time of this message, it's up 36% on the past 7 days (ending 4/29/24). I see a huge rug pull coming. 36% in a week is paying everyone $3 on $10 invested, and that's a LOT! I think it will tank this week. If it doesn't, then I'm wrong. But with stocks jumping that high, people are gonna cash out and re-buy when it's low because they know the market cap can only go so high. ...and that's after Tesla just fired a lot of people saying revenue is down. Revenue is down, but stocks are high? Maybe the company value when high because the expenses of the employees that were fired show a "profit margin" increase. That tricks AI stock programs to thinking the stock is more valuable than what it really is. Lyft is being sued for that move RIGHT NOW, as we speak. The AI programs bought a ton of Lyft stock on April 14th, based on incorrect data Lyft put out. Lyft wasn't worth more, but the AI programs thought it was based on data. Shareholders are suing for market manipulation. Tesla is jumping because of a reason: firing tons of staff and lowering expenses to create profit margins. The company's revenues are down, and the Cyber trucks are all recalled for an issue with the accelerator pedal. That's not even talking about all of the electrical issues everyone is now complaining about where the truck dies and wont even charge at times. I see a rug pull. Again, if I'm wrong...I'm wrong. But that's my opinion.

I use premium in nearly every vehicle I've had because it burns cleaner. Motorcycles as well. I use cheap shit and I have to add injector cleaner and valve cleaner. I did videos on my valves and you'll see why I use good gas only. The previous owner must've used cheap fuel because the valves were nasty as hell. Internal engine work will keep a car alive a lot longer. 256k on my Jeep and 224k on my Escalade. 113k on the BMW. All premium fuels. The engines don't die.

Hey Jeff did you here on June 30 2024 congestion tax goes into affect in New York uber is complaining about a 15 dollar an minimum are they going to cover those tolls going to the down town area or just charge the rider and not pay the driver why drive with such a high tariff.

Wow!!! They are milking the shit outta riders, not paying drivers, and now want drivers to foot the expenses the apps should be covering. WOW! These apps are getting greedy as hell, man! Drivers gon stay outta downtown.

@@willpnutyea, they’ve been charging riders of ride-share and taxi that congestion pricing since 2019, like $2.50 per ride like a train fare if you’re going below 96st or getting picked up there. this is how it started once they saw how many rides and money they were making they decided to charge the regular car population $15.00 on June 30th the ride-share apps and taxi will pay 1.25 per ride their gonna push it to the limit. The fee will get passed on to the consumer.
