Hey, thanks for the comment. There are a few things at play here. The ROG Phone that we originally tested with was the ROG Phone 2 (if I remember correctly) and the one shown here is the ROG Phone 3. As for the discrepancy in the results, I can't really justify since there are software updates which might change how fast the audio is played when the audio chip received the command. And since there are many variable factors that can affect the result which we cannot control, we have to redo all our tests per audio delay test, which takes a really long time. Some selected vivo devices you will get full advantage of sound .other than that you will get normal audio quality with bluetooth connections.But I haven't try out with my iphone yet .May be sound quality depending on handsets too

If your phone only support basic aptX then this TWS will "become" aptX basic to work with your phone.

That's a fantastic question actually. Honestly, I have not tried that particular scenario. By theory, you should be getting low latency, but I can't guarantee that.

I'll never trust the company's own testing methodologies and numbers. From what we've tested before, the Razer Hammerhead TWS has really bad latency even in game mode. But, the Vivo TWS Neo can only have low latency if your device supports aptX Adaptive.

No, supports aptX Adaptive, aptX Classic, the usual AAC and SBC only. Also no Bluetooth 5.2 - the aptX codec is quite independent of Bluetooth versions.

LC3 is for BLE only, not for Bluetooth Classic. At the moment, there are still no earphones that use Bluetooth 5.2 LE Audio.

I think they're both more or less the same. aptX HD is locked at a high bitrate, hence higher delay. aptX Adaptive has variable bitrate so it can go lower bitrate for lower latency when needed.

I should also mention that aptX Adaptive is a combination of aptX Low Latency and aptX HD

Yea nothing special when pairing this to the Vivo X50 Pro. And more like... you can get the low-latency feature from the TWS Neo on other phones too. But if you don't care about this low-latency feature, then you can some more worthy TWS in the market. The TWS Neo is not that affordable, honestly.

The Galaxy Buds aren't half in-ear though. I think my top rated TWS that we've reviewed this year are: 1. Galaxy Buds+ (in-ear design) 2. Jabra Elite 75t or Elite Active 75t (in-ear design) 3. OPPO TWS Neo (half in-ear)

Honestly speaking, for that price budget, Realme C3 is good enough though I suggest you save some more money and get the POCO X3 NFC. That'll much more worth it.

When you enter a game. It's dictated by the Android OS whether to go low latency or go high quality mode.

Huawei FreeBuds is exactly the same as the HONOR Magic Earbuds though. For iPhone users, I suggest you don't buy any of these as there is no app for iPhones to tune the extra features.

If higher volume more than 70 % the sound become too sharp .well the earbud itself is nice but nowhere near truly active noise cancellation .Even Samsung glaxy buds R170 can easily beat freebud 3i .sadly I lost my Samsung Galaxy buds and I sold of freebud 3i too Huawei user already

aptX is also referred to as "Classic aptX" now and it's pretty much just a basic version of aptX with a fixed bitrate. aptX Adaptive is a combination between aptX, aptX HD, and also aptX Low Latency - so it can switch between all the bitrates dynamically according to what's going on with the phone. TBH, aptX Adaptive is still in its very early stage so wait a while, there might be more products with aptX Adaptive coming soon.

Pretty ordinary overall. Just the aptX Adaptive is special.

Ah yea that - only aptX LL transmitters are available now. Not sure what happened to aptX Adaptive transmitters though. It's been quite a long time and still no transmitters.

It's quite weird that it doesn't support USB-C output anymore. It used to work last year.

aptX Low Latency requires (but hasn't required since the beginning) a special hardware antenna design. Because of this, you may find phones that have it (there's a Vertu phone that supports it), but then nothing. No other phone supported it, to my knowledge, because Qualcomm discovered it didn't work properly without an especially designed antenna hardware. You can use it with headphones that support it, paired with external transmitters that support it. Worth noting, that technically aptX Adaptive is worse in terms of quality compared to aptX HD and (slightly) worse in terms of latency compared to aptX Low Latency. Still, it's the future because - unlike other aptX codecs - aptX Adaptive is scalable (can dynamically adjust the bit rate depending on environmental radio frequency noise). (Sony's own LDAC is scalable too, btw, but has awful latency)

aptX LL is a part of aptX Adaptive

@@NasiLemakTech just to make it clear: one of the purposes of aptX Adaptive is to emulate aptX LL feature of virtually zero latency. That *doesn't mean* it's integrated within it, especially since they're not intercompatible (if you pair an aptX LL and aptX Adaptive device together, you won't benefit of the latency improvements).

I have the Mi 8 and I have the APTX, surely it happened with an update 🤔.

Most phones perform differently as the Bluetooth modem is integrated into the chipset.

Never tried fruit brand latency before 🤔 As far as my research goes, AAC codec only works well with fruit brand phone.
