Aqua hardly could contain her laughter and stay in character after Marine and the others showed up to her anniversary party. As Aqua mentioned she's been showered with so much attention,friendship,and affection that now she can't believe she used to want to be alone. Now she seems more happier than she used to be. Fifth anniversary...that's a long time. May she complete another five in the years to come.

The whole setup is just Aqua dying of cringe. The teenage nightmare of having no one show up to your party, but even worse because the only people that show up are your mom's friends that she invited because she thought you had no friends. It's hilarious. BUT MOM!!!! The letter Marine includes with the ohagi for Aqua to give to her "friends" is also pure sadness. Roughly, "Thank you for being/becoming friends with my daughter. Please take care of her." ROFL

For someone unfamiliar with ohagis… Ohagis are traditional Japanese sweets. They are diamond-shaped steamed glutinous rice wrapped in tsubuan(chunky sweet azuki(red bean) paste), whose name is taken from Hagi, bush clover in English. As the color of red, especially that combined with the color white, has been believed to ward off the evil and bring good luck since 8th century in Japan, ohagi comprising red colored beans and white colored glutinous rice is the perfect choice for celebration. But they are a bit old-fashioned for young people tbh, the fact indicating a generation gap between a mother and a daughter and making Marine’s performance more hilarious.

Pretty funny on multiple levels, like Marine objecting to heart glasses and the disco ball when she actually likes such things Then the whole bit with Aki low key plugging her crepe shop bit (she had AZKi and Koyori on, and from the sounds of it, AZKi was still at Aki's) Surprised Koyori didn't plug something with Mayo in it, though she gave her a curvier body (Gaou approves)
