Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic people -- and then the surface world. @@andreareconco9254 Exactly. They're great actors. Actors cover themselves in a character so we don't just see them in a wig. What makes a "good actor" is the ability _slip_ through the cracks every once in a while for added personality. Amber presented Mera at face value: Amber Heard in a wig. Anyone who has experienced or can recreate adrenaline in a fight for their life could have done that much more for the character. Scarlett Johansson would've given a performance worthy of naming the second move "Mera." On a serious note, I caught your sarcasm, I know it was a joke. I was just saying it seems unfair for those who act with trauma to get undermined by Heard's performance.

In speaking of "Stand by me"Rob Reiner said that they try to match charactors with one's natural charactor as much as possible. In an interview (early in their relationship) JD told how the casting person (director? Idr). had auditioned her several times (5, I think) but wasnt sold on her. Johnny auditioned AH himself (i think he was smitten immediatly- way b4 the shower scene) & he reported back to casting boss & said (paraphraze) "yep! Shes the one you want. She looks like she could kill me." He said that very lightly, playfully & in jest (in jest where the truth often lies, whether mindlfully realized or not). Also, early on: He said he likes his women "fiesty". Im sure he meant "Wynona Ryder" version of fiesty. Not "satan's minion" version of fiesty. Imagine how hard it must have been to wait till your over a half century yrs old to get married, (even reluctantly) & THAT's what rears it's ugly head shortly thereafter.

You know, a lot of people say Amber is a bad actress but I have to disagree. Very few actors try method acting but she certainly did and it enhanced her performance imo. In the wine glass scene for example: she went above and beyond for a role by using Johnny Depp’s fingers as target practice for when she had to break the bottles in set.

The thing is females oriented roles in Hollywood are written so badly that literally any good looking actress can do it and you wouldn't even notice. Now because the writing for female characters is so bad there's not much scope for acting and you won't remember any female role at all.

Jonny has REAL issues too. She caused her own down fall by not being able to self-reflect and seek help for her issues, but Jonny was dealing with real issues and was in need of help too. From drugs to the rock bottom of dating Heard Jonny wasn't in the right place of mind either. While I am trying to be funny by saying she was worse for him than drugs, I honestly pray for the both of them and all the people mixed up in this. May they both have a wakeup call, may we all.
