using an rgb light vs normal white led with only blue/ green spectrum, will the RGB also give better colors for green plants? Because I'm planning an Iwagumi with just monte carlo, and not sure if I want normal white leds which will give me higher PAR. or give up on some PAR but get a light with red spectrum also.

I just looked at a video Green aqua did on comparing the ada solar RGB to the Aquasky G (which has no red spectrum). And I honestly like the look of the aquasky on the carpet better then the RGB. But I guess its all down to personal taste. I agree fish look much nicer under RGB light tho

I saw in the video that you use the three ADA products with the tropica soil powder so I think that even if are products of two differents lines they can be combinated well, but what I don't understand is one thing: I have also seen that you break a few capsules of the tropica slow release fertilizer and place it in the middle of the tropica soil and then cover it with another layer of tropica soil. But if the tropica soil is already a fertile bottom there is no risk of favoring an explosion of algae due to too much fertilization and if not you continue to make this during the time, is it for the roots of the plants? If you can give me an answer will be really appreciated, I’d like to make aquascaping but it is my first time and during this way at the beginningis very difficult All the best Dani
@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Dani, (thought I have already replied to this one, however) yes you can combine all products and use different brands. In my opinion (the be honest) it is difficult to measure the effect, and one doesn’t need all for having success! I like using them all, they all theoretically make sense and add benefits to the system. Tropica nutrition capsules do not dissolve in water so there is no risk of overdosing or algae. Hope this helped but I guess I will do a specific in depth video about this topic

@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think this question matches the video topic. And I’m not experienced with DIY led .. it of course depends on the power of the individual colors and personal preference. I good starting point can be white 100, red and green 50, Blue 25%
@adrianjester2226
@adrianjester2226 4 жыл бұрын
@@JurijsJutjajevs thanks. Its not for diy like the light i have has each wrgb and its percentage so i need to set how many percent for each white red blue and green. Since you talked about light at the start though of asking you whats your preference. Sorry if the question didnt come out properly. And thanks for all your videos. They are really inspiring
@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 4 жыл бұрын
Usually those light where you can customize each channel I would go as mentioned above with white 100% red and green 50% and blue 25% as a starting point. After that you really have to see how it looks like and how you like it yourself. Want more warm? Add more red. Want more cold? Add more blue. Need more green? Add more green. There is no perfect setting for every light as they all come with different amount of LEDs. Some can be used all 100% others have too much blue that has to be tuned down. I prefer brands that provide presets and opportunity to upload and download presets from the community. Good luck with yours.
