@@larry1725yes, there certainly is an element of paganism when it comes to the kaba and the black stone. The only person that can forgive sin is God himself. To say a stone has the same power as God to forgive sin is pagan and Muslims need to explain where their traditions and beliefs came from, because it is NOT the practice expected from a follower of the God Yahweh.

When I was a christian, my mind was focused on the dream of salvation and deciphering the bible. As a muslim, I am focused on prevention and fulfilling what god tells us through the quran and hadiths. It is a beautiful thing how clear allah’s guidance is in islam.

May Allah grant you your wishes. I highly suggest you learn Arabic and read the Quran its original language. It’s far beyond anything your mind can possibly imagine. Whenever I talk to people and this topic is brought up I say that being an Arabic speaker is one Allah’s biggest favour on me.

I hope you read this Andrew because I was also a Lebanese Christian and was worried about the implications of reverting within my community. However, I knew that I couldn’t live a lie for the rest of my life and that I had to accept the truth, regardless of what people thought. This isn’t to say that I have fully dealt with that issue me being open about my reversion is an ongoing process, but I believe that Allah will make it easy for me insha’ Allah when the time is right. Moreover, I do my best to show the changes in my character by showing how I restrain myself from doing certain things I used to do and denouncing the way people conceive God and I’m hoping that through that people can understand the direction I’m heading towards. Ultimately, you won’t choose to revert for anyone but Allah and yourself and hopefully to also be a good example for those who have the Fitrah within them. Everything takes time but Allah is the best of planners and when everyone needs to know they will. I hope you are guided to Islam khayeh Ameen.

I’m an American revert, one year ago I accepted Islam and I can’t even remember my life before it. I was slandered and struggled a lot. But allhamdullilah Allah has been so good to me, he made a way for me when there was no way- watching this conversation made me cry and I’m so happy to hear he accepted Islam. It is such a blessing to know the language of the Quran- I finally learned how to read this month. It's extremely hard for arab Christians to revert to Islam because of rooted national identity tribalism. It's well known that they get persecuted by family, community and church to the point of torture and death. It happens alot in Jordan and Egypt

Subhan Allah, I’m Lebanese, and I’m really happy to see that Christians in Lebanon think like that. Very intelligent. Andrew, if you read this, just know that after Allah sent the first Prophet to humanity, none of the other Prophets would have came if people didn’t go astray with time. Every Prophet came after people went astray, either by their own ignorance and arrogance or because their book was not preserved. So each Prophet came to bring the people back to the true religion.

Allah will test you as mentioned in the Quran. “Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried?” (29:2) Indeed We have tested those who were before them. So Allah will surely know the ones who are truthful, and He will surely know the liars (29:3). One of the tests could be your family, friends, or community. That doesn’t mean it should be a hurdle in your way. Trust Allah and he will find ways for you. “And He will provide him from sources unimaginable to him. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose.” Salam

On the issue of QADER AND QADAA….I always explain it as follows. When you participate in a game where you have a choice between door nr 1 nr 2 or nr 3, the gameshow host already knows what is between each door. So the outcome of any of your own choices are known by him. Difference between Allah swt and the gameshow host is that HE also has knowledge which one you gonna choose before you even chose it. So pre-determined destiny and free will/choice go hand in hand

11:46 I was born and raised in a muslim family, and am a Muslim, but I only know lately about the different Qiroahs, and the first one I found was the one performed by Syekh Ali Katende, and he ended every "a" with "e" while leading a salah and read Al-A'la. I got addicted to how he recite it. I wonder though, does other Qiroahs could only be done by those who can't pronounce certain letters or it's also okay for those who can pronounce them normally?

Assalamu alaikum, dear brother ❤️ the Qira'at are authentic and you can read with whichever you want, but it's strongly recommended to read with a Qira'a that is common where you live so that you can learn from the people around and and they correct you if you make a mistake.
