I watched this edition of the show. All the participants were great, BUT it was definitely Dimash's show. He was shining!!! I love your reaction to this incredible performer. Thank you for always finding kind words for him.💖💖💖

At this show, Dimash became friends with several contestants, for example with Terry Lin, whom he called " daddy Lin" (he is the same age as Dimash's father) they sang a duet and still communicate very warmly.

Dimash was 22 at that time and he was invited to this show in China as a "grey horse", nobody knew him and this competition in 14 rounds was tough for a mature well known singers. Dimash thought to hold there at list for a couple of rounds. And then it became a Dimash show, the whole world was watching.....He got a second place......and a stardom!

What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. It’s the guy with the glasses. They had so much fun together behind the stage. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. Later they performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. Thank you for your interest (if you’ve read it this far). You may want to see, or even react to, videos that were filmed behind the scenes of the competition. They are very interesting if you want to get to know Dimash from a different, more private side. He often looks so serious on stage and some reactors got the feeling he isn’t very funny but that’s not the case at all. He's just very focused and totally immersed in the role he has to play in the song. And nothing gets him out of it. Not often. Once in a while he lost his composure and couldn't sing anymore because of laughter.

Hello, Arab Man. This was so great, just what I needed after a difficult day! You can really enjoy a performance - and have your own performance to entertain us! Thank you. Adagio is a Lara Fabian song. That is, the melody is old and there were also others involved writing the lyrics, but Lara Fabian is the original singer, which meant a lot to Dimash. Dimash had already had music and performance training since the age of 5 when he appeared on "IAm Singer". He had won the Slavic Bazaar and the Chinese invited him to participate in their prestigious contest. It was his opportunity to introduce himself outside of Kazakhstan. His first performance, S.O.S, was a surprise to the judges and the other wonderful contestants. Couldn't believe their ears. Hunan TV filmed parts of the contests and televised Dimash to 600 million Chinese people! His career took off from there. Every performance was unique and very, very well received. Dimash in 2017 was 21 or 22 music college and us work
