It was a combo I wanted to get my hands on from the moment I saw it released. I have a History with Arcam as the Arcam 280 Receiver was my first foray into a proper-sounding component.
Arcam Released the Radia series to be a gateway into the Audiophile realm with little outlay. The A25 amplifier is at the top end of the range. Below it sits the A5 50-watt amplifier and the A15 80-Watt Amplifier.
That is a curious distinction. Arcam didn't say that these are budget components. They are a gateway to Audiophilia, and that further audiophiles are their target demographic for the Radia Series.

Actually you can just use one remote to control both the streamer and amp - by connecting the secondary supplied cable between them. You seemed to have missed this.

Back in the DiVA day's Arcam had a single remote for everything in the line. It is silly.

i just bought the SA-20 and after watch this review i am convinced that’s is a better value than the A25 : same class G , better display , better remote control and better design in my opinion and on sale at $995 !

Had the SA20 sounded great but had to send 2 back, both had audible transformer vibration hum. The early review models had high quality nichicon capacitor where as later models had low quality Chinese jamicon capacitors. Not what I expect for the price I paid. Replaced with a Rega elex R and sounds great with 0 issues.

Oh boy. I think I’d go Technics for flexibility and if I was using it with bookshelf speakers.

No excuse for having non-matching displays. They should ALL have the OLED display if that's a better display. Cost cutting by Arcam!

@@DeeTeaDee that is the current trend in the hifi space. Signal purity vs degradation. Don’t get me wrong, I’m with you and prefer having tone controls over not having them. :)
