Hello! To clarify the time skip. Its not confirmed how long it was, but most people think it's been about 7 years. Jinx is about 17 years old. Vi and Caitlyn are both around 22 years old ish. Jayce and Viktor are 31 (Viktor might be a little older) and Mel Medarda is their age or a little older. Also I think most people agree that caitlyn and jayce are more like siblings/friends, since she was a child when he was 24 in the begining of the show. Edit: people mentioned a tweet from a writer below. The writer says vi and cait 14-16 Jinx 11-12. Then time skip 6-7 years. Do your own math with that one. But consider the slight ambiguity (LM are already past this, so this is for yall viewers)

This is the first reaction channel I’ve seen actually recognize the parallels between Silco and Vander & Powder and Vi. There was a lot to that moment when Powder jumps into Silco’s arms - Silco glancing over at lifeless Vander, eyes widening as Powder says that her sister isn’t her sister anymore. So many reaction channels had the same knee-jerk reaction: “Oh no he’s going to corrupt her. This is how she turns evil. He’s going to groom her into a weapon.” Though the latter has some validity, it’s important to recognize that Silco saw parts of him in young Powder.

Can we acknowledge Mel's manipulation power? She tries to convince Jayce to show the tech at the Progress Day, and she fails. Then after Jinx's attack, when Jayce is vulnerable and says he takes responsibility for losing the gemstone, it was the perfect moment for her to get revenge, to have him banned or something. But no, she uses the moment to do the exact opposite, she promotes him to her level. This move absolutely gains his trust, and ensures she has a tool on her side by which she can combat Heimerdinger, as a scientist.

“ENEMIES TO LOVERS?!” - Lola the sheer joy I felt seeing them call out Violyn immediately, so the rest of the series is gonna be a treat also, regardless of whether there is an age difference btw Jayce and Mel (speculated that Mel is only a few years older than Jayce), there is still a power dynamic between them where Mel is initially trying to use/manipulate Jayce (also headcanon Jayce is a bisexual disaster)

I love the shipping after one line and like 3 seconds of screen time. You guys are me.

Arcane may not be a "fun" or "joyous" experience per se, but it is nevertheless an exhilarating one. It is a tragedy, plain and simple. But it is drenched in so much authentic humanity that it allows us to connect with it on a profoundly deep level and come away feeling like we've witnessed something truly special. It is a treasure, and a masterpiece, and it leaves its mark on you. I guarantee you won't regret having watched it.

It took them 2 seasons to feel really bad for Azula. It took them 4 episodes to feel just as bad for Powder.

"Can someone tell me if Fullmetal Alchemist is easy fun." I actually laughed out loud after that. Sorry to say, it is not an easy, fun watch. It is a phenomenally good watch though.

Your reaction to Jinx/Powder's instability was about the same as mine, people may have responded in shock, bewilderment, even humor. My reaction was complete and total heartbreak. This character spoke to me and made me feel in ways few characters can, I've always had a huge soft spot for tragic and broken characters but Arcane is unique in that it shows you what the character was like before the world broke them, usually with a broken or tragic character you only hear what they've been through via exposition, dialogue from the character him/herself, or flashbacks, here you LIVE their backstory, you're a part of it as much as they are, so when the fall inevitably does happen, the pain and anguish is all the more amplified. I've made the comparison before, but it's like watching the Star Wars Prequels FIRST, along with The Clone Wars animated series, the story is sad enough if you've already watched the OT. With watching the backstory first, you get to see Anakin Skywalker as a small and innocent little boy grow into one of the biggest and baddest villains the galaxy has ever seen.

You two are one of the only ones that were sad when Jinx first appeared and started killing the fire lights. Most were like "whooo, go get em girl, you've grown so much!" But you two understood the sadness and immorality of the situation. That she went from an innocent little girl to a crazed murderer.

Jinx/ Powder's mind state at this point, reminds me of Azula in the finale and Post-War in the comics, just sad and traumatizing.

I love Silco's motivation in this. Its a good reversal of the typical rich bad guy and poor good guy.in this case the bad guy is the underdog trying to have something good for himself, and the hero is this powerful guy who invented magic and is way more fortunate than everyone

"how different she is" YES. That's exactly what I always say when someone says that Jinx exists because of Vi and that "Silco is a good father". Powder became Jinx after being under Silco's "care" for 6 years. She was not violent, she was not a psychopath, up to that point. Yes, she had mental problems, but they weren't as heightened as shown in this episode (and the following ones).

Fun fact; the flowers aren’t supposed to be a courting thing, these white flowers actually represent health as in “get well soon” because she was obviously injured by the explosion! They are in fact purely platonic and i actually really like their friendship! Another fun fact; about the height situation, Caitlyn is actually 6ft tall, our tall queen! (I think this show is the first one where i actually kinda feel represented height wise, cause i’m 6ft myself and normally even the most badass female main characters are small-ish and thin and „tiny“ and then we have Cait with her 6ft and Vi who is absolutely jacked as she should be cause it makes so much sense and i just love it so much! This show in general has a lot of amazing, well written, interesting, diverse female characters and i am here for it and i’m obsessed)

I'm glad they already have a nuanced opinion of Silco instead of just writing him off as a Disney villain. Riot and Fortiche have given us a very good cast. People need to appreciate the characters and their motivations instead of putting them in boxes.

Season 2 confirmed but nobody knows when. This season developed for 6 or 7 years now, so the next one we all hope that will be ready at least for 2023 About the time skip In 2nd episode we learnt that Jayce is 24 and 7 years passed (Someone from Arcane development team tweeted that) so right now Jayce is 31. Viktor is more likely same age maybe more, Mel (councelor lady) is also early30s because in of the following episodes you will learn that she was also young in 1st act. Cait is much younger than Jayce. We see that in 2nd episode where Caitlyn was carrying Jayce's scraps. Also Caitlyn is +/- Vi's age and both of them were teenagers in 1st act. Powder and the Ekko are also +/- the same age.

I'd say Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a bit closer to Avatar in terms of tone compared to a lot of the other animated shows you've watched recently. There's still a lot of serious moments, but there's also a fair amount of lighthearted moments to ease the tension in the show. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Powder can't possibly "hate" her own sister, even after the events of last episode. Siblings get angry at one another after a while you miss each other.

FMAB is a big story, but it’s my favorite anime of all time. Like ATLA, the first season is pretty light, and the writers balance humor and angst very well throughout the show. Plus, we get teenage, adult, and villain perspectives, which allows for a nice shift in tone from time to time. I think you guys will love it.

YES Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is super fun! Ngl, it gets dark, but it's super fun too! It's like the perfect balance and the story is SUPER well-written. You girls are absolutely gonna LOVE it!!

The reason i think people recommends heavy shows to you is that, they know you'll undrstand the characters and storylines on first watch. It's very entertaining and satisfying to watch.

It's strange how this show managed to made us care so much about the characters so fast. Being heart broken after 3 episodes, they sure have set a new bar for me. I never watched reaction video before. But I need more Arcane. Viktor is sick. It weakens him and he feels totally intimidated by the crowd. He said "not in front of... them", the same way one would talk about rabid dogs about to go for you throat at the first occasion. I think he is totally fine with not being under the spot.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a story that overall is happy and makes you feel good watching it but it still has several dark moments that keep it from being as happy as Avatar tla or something like that. It’s definitely not as gruesome as Attack on Titan though.

Definitely agree with many here that Mob Psycho would be great for them and the 1 Series I really hope they get to react to one day is Haikyuu. They would Love and Adore Haikyuu to absolute pieces and it would be such a wonderful/comfy/Hype and joyful show for them. They would Literally call over 100 characters their babies/favorites with how huge and fantastic the Haikyuu Cast is. Also I think Milena mentioned that she played Volleyball and Serbia in general is a great Volleyball nation. I really hope they at least get to hear Haikyuu being recommended at some point and to at least consider it for a nice change of pace series to the heavier shows they normally react to :) FMA Brotherhood is gonna be a fantastic reaction series If it happens soon and your Arcane reactions have been so wonderful and I feel/share all the Jinx pain y'all are experiencing.

The relationship between Jinx and Silco is one of the most fascinating aspects of this show.

This show does a great job at creating grey area around ever character. Ones you think are good can be bad and ones you think are bad sometimes have the best intentions.

Felt exactly like you two when I saw this episode. Jynx is a dynamic and fascinating character... But its _SO SAD_ to see all the ways the trauma affected and haunted powder.

Hexgates are another testament to how brilliant the writting and worldbuilding is in the show. When you get a source of power like what the gemstones provide there are three major ways to use it: 1. Transportation. Which they apparently did and it literally revolutionized the trade and put Piltover as a major player in a world. 2. Energy source for Industrial and Civilian application. Not quite there yet but this is exactly what Viktor and Jayce are trying to do with their portable Hextech devices. 3. Weapons. Possibly of mass destruction type since we know that they know that such thing is achievable through magic. Besides the whole Hextech becomes a major thing in the plot precisely because it's a form of Industrial Revolution. And if history taught us anything is that this kind of revolution reshapes the entire world.

Without spoiling anything Full Metal Alchemist is a story about Sacrifice, it's very emotional positive and negative. Which is why I think it's my favourite show it's not all bad all the time
