What's wild about Silco's power move against the Chem Barons is that the entire time he alone was completely unaffected by the terrible air quality. Or at least that's the act he put on. The rest of them have spent so much time in wealth and sun they've forgotten the terrible conditions they used to live in and why they were rebelling in the first place. During Act 1 the Enforcers wouldn't go down to the Undercity without rebreathers let alone into the mines where they had these people working. Silco is an incredible villain.

I also really love how that scene of Silco's power move is IMMEDIATELY followed up by the scene with Jinx. It really shows how different Silco is when he's around her than when he's around other people.

And yet, as much of a power move as it is - it's also the moment Silco's empire starts to collapse. Just as the Barons are an Undercity mirror of Topside's council, Silco's meeting is a mirror of the scene where Jayce ousts Heimer. Finn raises concerns over how Silco is failing to meet the needs of the Barons by allowing profits to slide, Finn asks Silco how he's going to fix it and Silco has no actual answer. Just as Heimer had no answer when Jayce pushed him to give an actual plan to fix the cities problems. Instead Silco does the only thing he knows how to do, he tries to manipulate them into falling in line with a display of power. The hallmark of a strongman. Its something that's only effective until someone isn't cowed by it. While Silco seems to come out on top in that scene in the short term, the display of power is an illusion and it's actually his blood in the water after that moment.

@@AvereeChaloupka His approach may be different with her, but his method isn't. Just as he tried to manipulate the Chembarons into doing what he wants with a display of strength, he coerces Jinx back into line by gaslighting her and preying on her codependent need for him and her fears of abandonment. Silco's a puppetmaster, he knows how to pull peoples strings and Powder is especially vulnerable to it.

The show's use of the combination of music and transitioning of art styles, with the script and the phenominal voice acting, just leaves me awestruck. I felt spoiled being able to watch this the first time around.

"Why is everyone so jacked" it's like Echo says "You'd be surprised what you can do when your life depends on it:" These people live HARD. Even Jayce used to do hammer work all day before he was a scientist, so it just makes sense most of them being so strong.

Caitlyn may be naive but she is also a kiramen AND is good friends with someone else in the cauncil. if anyone can change something in the city, it is propably her. it is not totaly unresonable, that she thinks she can do something for the better

Ekko's watch reference is something only people that play League of Legends would fully understand. In the scene when fighting Jinx, you can see Ekko in an illustration, as a kid, being shot by Jinx, then rewinding time to present (out of illustration) and dodging the bullet. Don't wanna spoil too much, but this will probably be further explored in season 2 or 3 at the speed they're going. This was just a nice little reference for now

You guys should check out the Enemy music video for Arcane that they released a month or so before the first season was released! It has some great Powder/Ekko moments.

i think jinxes grenade was never meant to kill ekko. It was the last bit of powder trying to go out with a smile and the image of a childhood friend still caring about her.

This show is too damn good. The story is incredible. The artistry. That showdown between Echo and Jynx was so dope. Every single episode someone drops bars you could think about for days. I would rather watch 100 episodes of this than 10 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist.
