Isn't it better than the idea that ten year old kids can just casually capture beings as powerful as Dialga or Palkia? It shows that the legendaries are following you by choice because you've earned their respect, and that they like to step down from their godly isolation once in a while just to experience what life is like for more ordinary folk.

Even though the movie's title already spoils the fact that there will be a fight scene? Every main game since Gold and Silver has been titled based on a specific legendary Pokemon, and even some side games like XD have been as well. Each and every time that happens, you can fight that box legendary. Much of the time, you are flat out forced to fight that box legendary. Sometimes, you're forced to catch them, too!

I'm sure we both agree. Anyone saying "well we know they fight.." is just inconsiderate. A less extreme and more relevant example is showing Batman and Superman fighting on an island in the thumbnail. Sure we can assume they will fight in the movie, but we don't know what the content of the fight will be or where. By showing where they will fight, you could potentially invalidate other scenes. For example, if early in the movie, batman is fighting superman in Gotham and it looks like he died, but I know there is a scene of him fighting on an island (because of the "spoiler"), then I'd say you were spoiled because you know they have to fight later and batman isn't really dead. Maybe I think this way because I can put two and two together from scenes. My only issue with this video is that the thumbnail reveals where the fight takes place. This causes the same potential showing any clip from a scene can spoil anything. I am guessing you will agree with me on this, but if you click and watch anything with what seems to be a spoiler in the title, then you played yourself. However, if a thumbnail reveals more information than you could have guessed up, then I'd say it can be reasonably seen as a spoiler. Its not as simple as "just don't watch the video" because the thumbnail put images in your head already.

Yes I agree one thing I noticed on this game is almost as in 90% of my battles are 1 shot kills or my Pokémon getting one shot killed haha 😂

Adding an animation for it would be cool although it'd be hard to sell something like a Torterra dodging a move without it looking kinda goofy lol. And actually ci trolling their movement like we do, the player character would be difficult because again sizes and body types etc.

It isn't perfect but it is a huge step forward for future Pokémon games. Most leakers really like the game. KZfaqrs that didn't like SWSH or BDSP say Legends Arceus is good. I have seen leaks and I think it seems really cool, especially for a Gamefreak game.

If you wanted to play a game like this, you could get any of the modern Monster Hunter titles and you'd have more character customization options, a cute critter that follows you and actually keeps up with you, monsters that interact with the environment and boss fights that aren't over in 10 minutes and require more than two button inputs to win. Dodge roll, dodge roll, spam x, let your OP Pokemon use one attack, mash x. How fucking boring.

I’m guessing no depends on when this game takes place from Gen 4(or BDSP since the multiverse is canon) but still confusing since Arceus can also be captured in the Present Sinnoh. I guess she(Dawn for ie) can go back and forth in time whenever she wants using Arceus would be strange leaving your friends and love ones behind to remain in the past unless we’re suddenly Inuyashaing it now.

I guessed that Arceus would act as a driving element for the story and not much else. This is a new direction for the games, so how were we to know? Agreed, the gameplay looks incredibly boring. I find it fun that your trainer gets to join in on the fights, but they basically only have one attack and a dodge roll and that makes every fight extremely repetitive. Arceus has like 4 attack patterns and the fight doesn't seem to pick up in intensity. This doesn't feel like you're fighting a god. Nothing about this feels exciting.

I don’t think it’s fair to expect this to be the best thing ever after GF has been making the same game for 20+ years. This game was a step in the right direction and hopefully the foundation for better games in the future.

The bosses are really the abnormally new part, everything else is still just Pokemon but you have slightly more freedom.

The problem really did start from Switch era due to how old their games feel in comparision to other actually good switch games . Atleast SMUSUM felt like a 3DS game. LGPE, SwSh, PLA and specially BDSP do not meet Switch standards.

It's especially odd because the folks complaining about spoilers are complaining that the title (revealing that there's an Arceus battle in a game named after it) or the thumbnail (an image of the player and Arceus on a white floor under a night sky) spoil something profound about the game. That's top tier spoiler sensitivity, but coming from folks who didn't think to take measures to avoid the spoilers the day before release, despite how hard it often is to avoid actual major spoilers as the release date approaches if you have feeds cultivated to throw information about the game at you. Most people who want to avoid even insignificant spoilers will do so by refusing to open social media for a period of time before release until they can play through the game, because they know that it's very likely they'll start seeing talk in their usual locations about things they want to find out for themselves. They certainly won't stay subscribed to someone who primarily discusses the series, then check their KZfaq notifications and go "oh no, a white floor and night sky? A boss battle with the character the game is named after?! You've ruined the game for me!"

Trust me, the game is challenging. Alpha pokemon are BEASTS and catching pokemon is really fun too. Idk if it gets easier later on, but I beat Kleavor and it's looking like this will be my favourite pokemon game so far. Also, blacking out is actually punishing, you lose like half your items.

I would rank this as the 4th hardest noble/boss fight. tbh feels more like a "victory lap" of sorts, since Arceus' movepool seems to draw inspiration from some of the other bosses attacks (especially Dialga/Palkia). But this isn't really the game's hardest boss fight. That would go to a certain character who battles you with a team of eight fucking Pokemon, that you can easily be underleveled for.

@@inari3217 i agree. The big problem is that there is only one ”weapon”, and it’s a boring one. Yeah you can’t hurt pokemons, but come oooon. No sword allowed? Replace it with a mystical torch or something? The goal seems to be to calm down the pokemon? Make some kind of tether weapon? And why not make a shielding mechanic? I don’t know there could have been a lot of interesting ideas that could have been done to emulate a real fight, without crossing the violence line. It’s a shame honestly. Also it’s not normal that the pokemon fight at the end is so easy lol
