As an Indian, I really am admiring Gopi. He is very well spoken, his timing, his sarcasm and everything is on point. Even in 2022, I doubt if I could speak like Gopi, if I participate in some debate. I wonder if I could get some information about him, about his details or what he did as an adult or sthg else, so that I could know more about him.

@@irmar That’s not a fair comparison because a lot of children from rich families and high levels of education is school can even debate better than these children. If you think Skibidi and Brainrot language is the maximum of what kids can speak today, you’re kind of funny. Because even average high schoolers are taught to speak and write academic language today. Of course your day to day language will always be different to the one you use in a speaking test.

@@Celine-dd8nx Nothing is ever permanent. Might seem that way with our very limited lifespan, and therefore the natural tendency and pull to have shortsightedness dictate our views, opinions, mindset etc. But I truly believe India and Pakistan will resolve their differences in some fashion. The disruption, destruction, looting and chaos caused by the British Empire still runs very deep in both countries. That wound will take a very long time to heal, but heal it shall. We just won't live long enough to see it.

@Nisha chambiyal ok well #1, Britian was not the only country that killed millions overseas (probably in the hundreds of thousands, but not millions). And neighboring countries have killed and enslaved each other for centuries. So should you take them out of the UNSC? 2nd, everyone treated everyone like dirt. Literally a couple hundred years ago if you weren’t protected or trading partners or something with another country you were easy pickings for enslaving or killing. And they did not introduce racism. Racism has been a thing since the beginning of different skin colors. If you’re talking about how they “introduced racism” as in the American Atlantic Slave Trade, take the North Africans/other Africans that also sold their neighbors (one less country next to you, more food and land for you) off the UNSC. And no, they didn’t reach the world what a class system was. Class systems have been around since the first civilizations. There’s poor, moderately poor, wealthy, a bit wealthy, and a lot wealthy. Boom, class system. And those were all the acts of the people that aren’t alive now, who’s ideals would be shunned by modern day Britain. Britain has provided a lot for world organizations like the UN, being a first world country in a world without too much first world countries. And as for the South America thing, I have no idea why. But if we were to take Britain out from the UN that would probably spell some conflicts from leaders.

Sure, Britain introduced democratic ideals & technology, but the thing about cultural diffusion is that it does not require colonialism to occur. So they just cover it by saying it was good for you anyways because we had given you a railway system and we just took your 46 trillion dollars from your country. Not a big deal you are just suffering from poverty and we got BBC for it and they would criticize on that also and the things that europeans think is that they gave the whole world the knowledge about the truth but countries like India, Greeks, Egyptians already knew that before them and the biggest thing that they can't accept is that asians are hardworking af. So they already knew if we will not put them down, the asians would soon take over the world with their power but even now they are super jealous about asians and the way we develop our societies and even now we our way behind but 21st century would change the whole scenario of this world and soon you would see asian countries rising their GDP and Per capita income.

She made some arguments about the 'gift of democracy' bit was completely demolished the Indian guy. He is said it was started in India when Europeans were 'little blue savages'. Phillipines - he was the only one who really addressed the topic of debate fully stating the negatives and positives of prejudice. Through some real life examples he really stood out. He even gave a solution to negative prejudice that is to know about the people emphasize with stand in their shoes to experience what they did that's only way to combat prejudice. The Chinese knowing the USA military was no longer there to protect them took some islands from them. They also wish now they never got independence since the are trying to move to USA and if they had citizenship under a USA territory they would not have to go to Dubai and Oman to work and just come to America. @@sameethfarhaan5214 the arrogance part wasn't directed at her, she seems sweet but it's their education system and society. For Eg, At least Germans know very well and accept what Hitler did and no one glorifies him even tho he brought prosperity to the nation, Britain was much worse than Hitler yet reacts in a total opposite way. Can't even accept their fault or make any public apology but instead considers themselves as some kind of saviours, which no one needed.

The British right wing today still uses the same arguments and holds almost the same position. Yet Indians today are more sympathetic towards them than towards the left wing. I think we all know the reason for this. Also the British girl seemed like a sweet person, I think it's just the culture around her that has caused her to form such opinions.

Why should the present generation feel any sort of guilt? They were not responsible for the British Atrocities. We should leave history aside and try to compete with them with our present resources. We don't get any material benefit from their acknowledgement of the cruelty of their ancestors. No country would teach their citizens the evil side of their own history.

It’s funny the Brits link themselves to the Greeks. Even though, the Greeks were geographically closer to the Persians and Indians. In fact, there was a lot of exchange of ideas between the Greeks and Indians in the Persian court and saw each other as equals. One should read the book “The Shape of Ancient Thought”.

@@xyglrox5869 Because three things build Europe: 1. Christianity. Actually Roman Catholic Church, less extent Eastern Catholic. 2. Greek philosophy. 3. Roman law. In fact this is foundation of the West. You need all 3 for things like democracy, constitutional monarchy or republic, human and civil rights and development of science and engineering, the way we saw in Europe. All current science is based on this. The religion allowed for science to flourish. No matter what Marxist inspired atheists say, this is actual fact. All alllowed for proper development to occur. Emergence of human rights. Take that Papal Bull, Sublimis Deus, in 1537 was forbidding stealing of indigenous peoples' property and enslaving people, even if they were not Christian. Nobody else in the world had such progressive thinking, because all over, it was conquest. Sadly English left the Catholic realm because Church property was taken away by their "lords".
