Its a metaphor. John the baptist was the metaphorical 2nd coming of Alijah (jews are waiting for alijah to descend). Mirza Gullam Ahmad is the metaphorical 2nd coming of Jesus (non ahmadi muslims are waiting for jesus to descend). Mirza has been symbolized in prophecies of muhammad as a metaphorical 2nd coming of Jesus due to his similar characteristics to jesus. Mirza Gullam Ahmad came 14 centuries after Muhammad the same way Jesus came 14 centuries after Moses. There is no reincarnation or revival of the spirit of Jesus. What is hard to understand? The author (that i believe we would all agree is God) , wrote a manual (for a certain group of people) which was corrupted or edited by humans and misinterpreted over the years. The Author then sends a new updated edition (this time for all of mankind) that has all the good things of the previous editions and gets rid of the misconceptions of the past. Makes sense?

If you read the whole thing you would know it was the journey of "zulqarnain" which many interpreters believe is a conquerer likely cyrus that went in the direction of the sunset (i.e west) until he reached a point where there were muddy waters and people. I thought about this but then I rejected it. Mormons and JW deny Christ's Divinity which is a core tenet of orthodox Christianity. For this to be analogous Ahmadis would have to deny one of the core tenets if Islam. It is not obvious that they do.

All Prophets are "Muslim" not in the sense of followers of the specific religion of Islam bit the inherit meaning of the Word "Muslim" which means one who is completely submissive to God's Will. There is no second coming of Jesus (peace be on him) other than a metaphorical and spirtual second coming. This is clear from The Bible and The Holy Qur'an. All true religions flow from one to another like links in a chain - From Christianity to Islam

The 2nd coming is described in graphic detail in the book of Revelation, and Muhammad even copies from it, except for assigning the actions of jesus the "first and the last" to instead be given to allah. An example of the 2nd coming is in Luke 4:16-21 where Jesus was quoting from Isaiah 61:1-2, except he intentionally stopped in the middle of a sentence, because the remainder would be fulfilled at the 2nd coming. After a few decades, the Jews finally got the messiah they wanted, in Simon bar Kokhba.

He opened his eyes to find an enemy soldier approaching with a grenade in his hand about to pull the pin. My father was able to save everyone in that foxhole that night. Then, when my brother was in college he was driving his sports team back from a competition in the middle of the night. He fell asleep at the wheel. Then someone called his name. He woke up, righted the van and turned back to thank the person who woke him up. Everyone else in the van was asleep. Why would Allah have saved two Christians, when he said we are the worst of peoples? And these aren't the only stories from my family of miraculous rescues. As far as I'm concerned, besides believing what the Bible says, I've got my own empirical proof that God is a loving father and not just a god who demands a master/slave relationship.
