Really interesting speculation I'm actually pretty sold here. If they don't call it a furioso, I feel like there will be enough upgrades to just call it a Brutalis and keep BA happy that they can keep what is aesthetically a furioso

I believe it is coming. There is a reason that I am keeping a brutalis and a number of Jump Intercessors unbuilt through the end of summer. I do think a dedicated kit is better, but an upgrade sprue will be ok for now.

I think the new unit would be Primaris Sanguinary Guard. In the lore they all died at the Devastation of Baal, except for their Captain, and we haven't heard much since then. New models, new weapons, new rules, same name. Hopefully this time they'll be usable.

I think you're probably right! Think a furioso/DC dread would be easy to make upgrades for. I have a gut feeling that the new DC will be a step down though...

I do believe we get a new Sanduinary Guard and Sanguinor at the very least. They already renewed Dante, I feel like they HAVE to do Sanguinary Guard. Valrak did mention there is potentially a Brutalis in the Blood Angel box. I could see there being upgrades for a BA dread, it wouldn't be too hard to make it out of the brutalis. But we'll see. I'm always a bit skeptical on these things. Until GW makes an announcement I believe nothing.

Technically, Black Templars have chapter-specific variants of the Primaris Gladiator and Repulsor vehicles. The only difference is a free multi-melta, though

I think it's clearly a pattern. Some characters (named/unnamed ones), an upgrade sprue with transfers and 2 special units. (Crusader Squad, sword brethren, inner circle companions and deathwing knights etc.) The blood angels will receive new sang guard and new dc marines. It just makes sense, A boxset with one or 2 unique characters and a bunch of already existing kits doesn't make any sense. There will be one new unit in there in order to sell it more easily. I also don't think there will be a unit specific upgrade sprue, it's just not what they've done before. I don't like their new way of releasing chapter specific stuff, compared to what they used to sell it's just so bland, even thought the quality of the sculpts is really good, they could personalise the chapters a bit more.

As a Dark Angels player its been nice to have a refresh of the characters and a new unit but i feel like we lost so much more. The upgrade sprue for deathwing knights is a joke, the terminators look so bland now i hate it. They know they aren't gonna sell tons of these units because people already own them so why not just bang out a upgrade sprue and save warehouse space. It's so lazy and its turning me away from the hobby in some regards.

With how long the redemptor has been out you think GW would have given us at least one chapter specific variant by now. It would be cool if Blood angels got it as I assume with each chapter codex release we should get at least one unique unit that is based on a newer kit this edition. Dark Angels got both of their terminator variants with the Deathwing so Id imagine Blood angels should get something related to the Sanguinor or death company, or possibly the flesh tearers as those seem to be getting quite popular lately

On Jah, I've been holding out on buying a DC/brutalis dread purely from this and Valraks video that being said, I'd rather the furioso be scrapped and keep the Librarian, would be hurt if we lost the Libby dread

Seems very plausible if Valrak is right but remember he was swearing leviathan was a blood angels box until it wasn't. Either way he's managed to get me hyped again.

If he did say that it was pretty early. He will revise his predictions and rumours. Usually it's a case of determining which ones are built on the most stable foundations. I think he's finally got something fairly solid regarding blood angels here

@@mayofrench5170 he can. Mephiston was in much dire state and he could cross it. Lemartes is mephiston case without psyker powers. But I believe in Sanguinor+ astorath.
