Part two of my review of a Michigan pastor’s horrible presentation on how to talk to gay people. In today’s show, we resist the temptation to pit grace against truth, learn about the third use of the law, and look at the Samaritan woman at the well. Plus no more CoWo! The better term is culturally-oriented worship.

Thank you Pr. Bramwell. Even in just looking at vv 14, 16 of St. John 1, we see that Christ Jesus is full πλήρης of Grace and Truth (v14)...and from His Fullness πληρώματος (of Grace and Truth; v.16) we receive Grace Upon Grace. In Matthew 22, in a parable, a king has his servants graciously invite ordinary people to his feast. It seems that he graciously provided these people garments to wear, all true in the context of the parable, and also true is that one man was in there without the wedding garment, graciously given. Some servant, we deduce, had waved him in or looked the other way.

Of course he's Norwegian. Many of the Norwegian synods reject formula of Concord, third use, and the law as positive.

Not all of them do. The ELS is Norwegian, and we're quite confessional

Where was this? The plastic name badge looks like this is a conference more than a sermon. What is the context of this conversation? (It’s still wrong, but I have family in MI.)
