CableMod GOAT! I really loved what they did to the custom cable market for keebs! Wether it be a pre-built one or custom one, they do offer quite a lot for the price!

So tempting. I know that were I to upgrade to a cable like this, I'd pretty much go your route -- slimline (LEMO) connector with no coil. And your video has helped validate that choice for me. But I too find the cost prohibitive. One day, I'll probably try to save some money by soldering my own. It'll still cost more than a mass manufactured one, but it'll be worth it to practice my soldering.

Don’t really understand why they’re still shipping (edit: pre-made) USB-A cables in 2022, and they unfortunately don’t have USB-IF certification Coiled cables do look so cool though I use a regular USB-C thunderbolt cable because it was the same price for something I can use in the future, and it’s USB-IF and intel certified. Can be repurposed for connecting monitors or to mirror a display too

Well, you can opt for C to C on the configurator but I wouldn't be so quick to sound the death knell for USB-A. All of the USB ports on my PC are A and all of the ones on all of my USB hubs are too. In fact, it was just a couple of months ago that I got my very first C to C cable when I upgraded my phone lol

@@CaloysKeyboards I meant the pre-mades, or at least the default in the configurator Yeah of course, lots of people still use USB-A, but buying a new one now doesn’t make as much sense as getting an adapter, to me at least, when every other new device many people won’t get if it’s using the old connector

i really dislike cables, my preference is always wireless, but i must keep a cable ready for charging and a few boards that don't support 2.4ghx for gaming, But i just keep a regular white cable tucked in under my desktop and pull it when i need it.

It's sad that this company is the only one providing decent custom cables. Considering nearly half of their reviews are negative and for good reason. Ordered over a hundred bucks worth of cables from them, had no customer service assistance for a month and a half, until I finally got info to contact the local courier service, by which point they were sending the product back to CM. Haven't received my products nor a refund.

Those who cried because their keeb's port are situated opposite, that is at the right side, just flip it. Those were Type C cords anyway. And you can route it anyway you want from the pc. That's what I did. You people... Making problems out of nothing.🤣🤣🤣
