Disney Lorcana is experiencing one of the most wild markets I have ever seen. With people looking to build lorcana meta decks as well as play with all the starter products, I did not see the sales comparing as well as they have to games like Magic the Gathering and Flesh and Blood. Lorcana is even getting close to Pokemon in some areas - let's talk about the lorcana market.

I tried getting into Lorcana with my gf. We both had Starter decks and we enjoyed them, so then we tried making our own decklists. I played my gf with our custom decks one time, I smoked her, and she got salty and we haven't played Lorcana since.

Disney Lorcana is going to be #4 in the big 4 maybe even #3. It's not going to be Sorcery, FAB or any other TCG. If RB/Disney is commited to this game then the competitive play announcement should seal the deal for Lorcana for this year. What will be interesting to see is how Lorcana will evolve in terms of card design or collectability. Pokemon's success lies not in the gameplay but the sheer amount of collectors (and investors) that have piled on the TCG. While MTG has found a winning strategy with its multiverse format, Disney has the ability to use both Pokemon's and Magic's formula to create a good TCG that will be enjoyed for years to come. Disney/RB knows it has all the factors working with them to make this a successful TCG.

@@Rayquaza894dude, I love the One Piece anime. I'm even a new fan to the show as of just over a year ago. You might notice that as being right around the time when the OP card game released. The two have nothing to do with one another; I looked into the card game because I love games. When I saw boxes in the $300-$400 range, I was immediately turned off. Then I saw that it was a Bandai product, and that made me even more hesitant to give it a try even if product became available at a reasonable price. As a big fan of the show now, I do hope that the game has legs for the future. But fuck Bandai. I don't trust them. And I'm not paying more than $5-$6 per pack of cards. So yeah, let's see One Piece TCG in another year or two, and then revisit this convo lol. 😂

I think the fact that Rvanesburger seems to have done a better job on the supply end, combined with the fact that this set has a new type of card, means it will really pop off. I personally have already pre-ordered twice as much of this set as I did the previous two.

I think the TCG player numbers will be off a bit since it seems like so much more product has hit stores, I have a case pre-ordered at one of my league stores, and two boxes at my other league store. So I think it is hard to tell what the impact of the numbers from tcgplayer mean on the whole of the market. Love the content and love that you have fun with Lorcana and looking at the secondary market

lorcana should expand now to global territory ( this can be a factor in terms to sustainability)

Lorcana is awesome but I think Star Wars Unlimited will be harder on my bank account due to the number or rares and variations of cards. Getting them all is going to be so much more expensive than completing Inklands.

Unfortunately i won't be preordering this set. Our tcg funds are going towards MTG this month. I'm hopeful it'll be reprinted though so. I'll enjoy box openings via your channel for the time being.

Awesome art, waaaay too short printed. I wanted a box as an investment when I learnt about it. Ended up not buying cause couldn't find Alphas and Betas were already double the price. I don't think there's many players.
