Hi Zajef, in regards to why Zhongli's ult doesn't reduce shield bar of Iniquitous Baptist Boss the other day, it was because Zhongli's E proc and Q share the same elemental application ICD against the same enemy. Your E hits the boss right before your ult, so that was why Zhongli's meat ball was wasted completely despite hitting right at the enemy.

The most important considerations of this video are: 1): he's a carry, which means he's less valuable than other units such as supports and subDPSes that can apply elements off field. He falls at the same situation such as Hutao and Ayaka. 2): even with the consideration number 1, he's at the same level of power of other top tier carrys, but with more versatility and he's more future proof because he's dendro and is capable of sinergize with a big variaty of characters. As such, he's a better pull than any other 5* carry.

@@robgeach8105 it is not the case of "he can be". It's his only function in combat scenarios. For exploration he's fantastic undoubtedly. But compared to other units with the same function he's reeeeeally less effective because he's anemo, an element more suited to function as a support.

Alhaitham is such a solid unit for me. He's my first char to triple crown and very enjoyable to play with his mirror mechanics and the dendro teams he can be in. Him and Nahida together makes dendro supremacy.

I’ve triple crowned him too! I got him on his first banner (guaranteed cause Wanderer wandered away, but he came early so yay), and now I got his signature weapon. I think he’s my only triple crown other than Xiao. Kazuha is coming to follow in his footsteps, and probably Cyno too eventually. He’s actually pretty fun, and I kinda wanna save for nahida to make him even stronger! I love his character to be honest, just couldn’t stand him if I met him irl, im sure he’d hate me too 😂

I'd say Alhaitham is easily the best c0 carry, with more competitive totally f2p teams than Ayaka and significantly more versatility that either Ayaka or Hu Tao. In their best case scenarios (freezable enemies and single target) they can compete, but Alhaitham has flexibility for pretty much any enemy/abyss floor so long as it isn't totally dendro immune. Overall, a great unit. While the calcs on Nahida teams (where she takes on the dendro role rather than Alhaitham) are better than his most of the time, Nahida can feel pretty clunky on field because of her model size and being a catalyst. Nahida double hydro hyperbloom is a mighty strong team, but in my experience playing Alhaitham double dendro quickbloom is a much more comfortable experience.

calcs show that double dendro is better than nahida double hydro. with the former sheeting at like 65k and the latter at 60-1k. double dendro even scales better with investment because unlike nahida, alhaitham contributes 40% of team dps and can get higher. theres also in game practicality, like better frontload, more aoe, and much much more flexibility in rotations

@@phorealthistime6165 most teams that scale off vertical investment are better than just pure transformative comps like nahida double hydro, thundering furry, taser, swirl hyperbloom, etc. It's just a matter of whether spending the primos or resin to do said vertical investment is worth it or not, which in most cases it probably isn't compared to having more varied comps to clear in abyss. I triple crowned my Alhaitham. He is my favorite unit by far and very fun to use. I play him with Nahida, Kuki and Xingqiu/Yelan but I found myself giving a chance to Baidou as well and she's actually pretty good. I will pull for his weapon since I'm close to pity on the weapon banner, so let's hope for some good luck.

Alhaitham Kuki Xingqiu Nahida is the best team on my account by a very noticeable margin. I agree that he is a luxury unit if you have Nahida, but it's a very good vertical investment into overall account power. It's not only that Alhaitham needs Nahida for his best teams, but also that Nahida's teams with Alhaitham are stronger than all of her other teams

Ehh, I disagree with that last part. Nahida hyperbloom (Nahida, Raiden, Kokomi, Xingqiu/Yelan) performs better without Alhaitham; he's not in all of Nahida's best teams

@@strawberrymilk607 That is literally not true, at a decent investment all c0, Alhaitham 'quickbloom' outdamages nahida hyperbloom by a large margin in AoE and by a small amount in ST. I have tested both so no point dismissing it just because "No way it beats nahida hyperbloom"

Hyperbloom with kokomeme probably loses to haitham quickbloom, but double hydro probably is generally the best single target team in the game up until a certain point of investment for characters like hu tao

There is no "Quicken" in that team to call it quickbloom lmao, Kukis electro app sucks to actually enable Quicken alone. Its just a plain Hyperbloom team with a raw damage Haitham

@@zaheenwaseet2041 Yes there is quicken, though not absolute 100% like Cyno 'quickbloom' uptime but Haitham still does a lot of spread damage. And no where is it a rule that only 100% quicken uptime shall be called quickbloom . Besides what matters is not the useless name calling, Haitham team is an overall upgrade over Nahida double hydro and Cyno's quickbloom in both sheets and practice.

i look at alhaitem as a tipical MMO unit he either gets buffed to hell and back by his team (genshin calls it hyper carry) or he either meld with his team via quick bloom (like how in mmos if your a dps and you dont have the equipments to back it up you become a subdps still does ok damage but not the teams main cannon)

Nothing wrong with having a second Nahida that only works on-field for the other side. Still better sustained dendro app than any other dendro character. Should work nicely in quickbloom with my C2 Yelan with Elegy.

4:36 I like having fischl as the electro applicator because she has access to Elegy to buff em and has great energy generation (granted my fischl is c6) ! As for a healer/shield, i usually ran Zhongli but since i got Baizhu, his healing and buff of dendro reaction is quite nice.

For his team I usually run Yaoyao/Xingqiu/Al-Haitham/EM Raiden. Great for slaying consecrated beasts. I prefer the full combo rotation (burst-->E-->charge), so I don't like pairing EM Kuki or Yelan with him, as it always feels like their off-field application falls off prematurely before combo end. If you're comfortable with his split rotation I guess they become more viable, but I'd rather shift them over to Nahida on the other side who can deal with more fluid rotation naturally.

You can do Kuki's E during the 2s downtime after using Alhaitham's Burst. If Kuki is C2 the skill should last you by just about the time you need.

Spread team with Nahida his BiS will always outperform other options with Mist and Jade coming close, approximately 10% ish dmg difference

he showed a screenshot of the calcs and Keqing mains likely has a sheet too, but the differences are all pretty minimal, you either use one of the good five star swords or one of the EM swords (assuming you played during the Umbrella sword event, otherwise only one good option there) or you are using fav cuz fav

I love him. He’s my main at AR 55. I run with him with Raiden, C6 Xingqui, C1 Baizhu and it’s a solid hyperbloom team that takes out most things. I’m thinking of building Kuki since I hear she runs better with him than Raiden actually.

I currently run him with DMC, zhongli and kuki, he's level 70 with level 1 talents but his crit ratio is 65/160 with iron sting, he's on 2pc wanderers and 2pc shimenawa with quicken he deals 17k damage at his highest and it's extremely consistent

No need to sweat it that much. Get like 300em, 72/144 cr/cd, 140% ER, and then whatever you can get in terms of EM and Atk% sub stat rolls.

@@naifalrabeei then do what you can. Until you reach such stats pretty much anything is good since you aren't close to the diminishing returns. To be honest, I don't trust the optimizer. Not the calcs it does, my problem is allowing a script to check all my artifacts. Such robotic inputs can get you banned in some games.

3ple dendro with nahida and kirara is now my favorite spread team. Kirara shield pretty much solves the interruption part. She can also straight up funnel 4 dendro particles to alhaitham. And running her with sac pretty much means unli burst. I also run raiden as the electro unit. Longer e uptime and i use her burst to finish up low hp enemies when needed. I also am not running 4pc gilded cause i dont want atk stat.

Hmmm... sounds good for the split field time rotation. Kirara's shield only lasts 12s, so doing the 18-20s field time leaves too much time without the shield.

For me, my fave Alhaitham spread team is Nahida, Baizhu and Raiden(same thing but without Kirara). Even with low ER on Alhaitham I get so much energy from all the dendro particles and Raiden. Baizhu and Nahida also buff him a lot and Raiden buffs his burst. Baizhu helps with resistance to interruption and heals. Nahida does a lot of off field damage. Raiden also does good off field damage along with electro application and I can burst with her too if Alhaitham is on cooldown or if I just feel like playing more quickswappy. It’s very comfy to play but it takes all my dendro units so that’s the downside. I like to call it mono dendro even tho we have Raiden on it.

Got the guarantee for him (was betting on being lucky and get both Yae C2 and him but first Jean ever since 1.1 is ok hahah) and will be trying to play him, Yae, Baizhu and Kazuha/flex(?) Cool animations are my weakness

pretty much i would only Harbinger of Dawn as a stat stick or if i'm running him with yaoyao as the deepwood holder kuki just heals to slow at times to make use of that weapon. since Yaoyao feels like the 2nd best option after nahida.

Skill issue, kuki heals 3.5k every 1.5s if that's not enough to keep you at 90% hp got gud scrub

Yaoyao is good with her particle generation and healing, and Kirara provides a great shield. Just be wary that the end of his rotation won't have healing/shield, since he can have lengthy field time.

Just recently came back from a break since tighnari banner and missed Nahida's rerun. Been really struggling without dendro reactions/units. Would you recommend pulling Alhaitham despite not having the better units for his comps (ie. nahida, kuki, yaoyao, etc)

Dmc is always an option, and kirara is good for her shield as well. Before I got Nahida, I used Haitham with dmc equipped with favonius sword and it worked well so imo yes a good pickup, especially if you don’t have many other dendro units.

Al/EM Raiden/Xq or Yelan/deepwood Zhongli is a really strong hyperbloom team if you have those two archons...ZL's spot is a flex slot too...He works fine as a solo dendro with the usual good 4 stars like Fischl/Beidou too...

i feel like alhaitham is more dependant on a 2nd dendro unit. not just nahida. yeah Nahida is the best option but Yaoyao and DMC are also good. however yuegui has random targeting, and DMC is energy hungry. Baizhu is Way too single target oriented meaning and i feel like Kirara forces you to stay on field for a while and those bombs take a while to explode.

Just to make sure I'm understanding properly, the bit about him being better than Tighnari is only for spread-focused teams right? I imagine Tig should be better when aggravate does more of your team's damage eg Fischl + Miko + anemo because his shorter field time lets you get more A4s?

That does become an apples and oranges matter of preference of do you want a dendro carry with a lengthier field time, or a quick swap DPS unit. In that sense it's like argue between Cyno and Keqing.

i don’t own nahida but i know my alhaitham would have better teams with nahida. but, i have been able to 36* every abyss since his release at c0 with no problem. so, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter

Alhaitham has been a staple for my Abyss clears since I got him. Only less than a hand full of times could I say dendro was ever not favorable for an abyss run. But excluding those small amount of times he makes my run through very comfortable.

Kuki even at C0 is an exceptional character for healing and hyperbloom triggering. Her application follows the character and enables quicken and hyperbloom with ease. I'd say Raiden is only better in a hyperbloom team that already has a healer, like Baizhu or Yaoyao.

I think Raiden is more consistent for hyperbloom and if you have Zhongli, you can run him in the "healer" slot since he can hold the deepwood set...I dunno about spread teams tho

I lose the 50-50 on his first banner but now I am guaranteed. I actually got enough of Haitham combat from my friend account so I am still contemplating whether I want him on my account. But yea the only thing I am lacking is a Spread team with decent AoE. I have good Tighnari team and Nilou team already... and he's the only Dendro I don't have.

he addressed this in a video long ago...the return itself is not diminishing (the % increase from the base), it's the % increase from newly calculated value with the other stats factored in that is...so I think it's actually opportunity cost or maybe it's something else, but he said the term diminishing returns is actually the best way to explain it overall and so ppl go with that

Fischl’s passive only works with electro reactions, spread is a dendro reaction, that’s why it doesn’t work I use Beidou with Alhaitham myself, he really benefits from her shielding if you got C2 Beidou

Al Raiden Xingqiu Yelan would work better. If you don’t have yelan go with spread probably, and if you only want to play HB go with kuki and then dendro mc as last slot
