I've had a ridge line for about 8 years now. It's pushing 350k and has given me absolutely zero problems other than basic maintenance, oil, brakes tires etc it has had no serious issues. I know it's not a "truck" but I guarantee you I've had more things in the back of my 5 foot bed then a lot of people have had in the 80k truck bed. Because they buy a truck for show and not for use.

My Ridgeline story: Senior year in college I was staying over at my girlffiend's house one night. Her roomate had a guy come over at 2 am (nice) and asked me to unlock the door as he was arriving soon. Moments later I heard him enter, slam the door, stumble down the hallway mumbling in a drunken excited rant. Then I heard a loud thud and the noises stopped. I fell back asleep assuming all was OK. 6 hours later I wake up and walk down the hallway to the kitchen to swig some water straight out of their Britta and be on my way. There he is, laying there passed out in the middle of the kitchen with a backwards Honda hat on and an apron as a blanket. I have class to go to so I walk out the front door to head out to my car and what do I see??!! I see a Maroon 2006 Honda Ridgeline with the keys in the ignition still running half on the driveway and half on the sidewalk. I quickly pieced two and two together and realized this was his truck...so I turned his truck off and brought the poor guy his keys. He was alive, thankful for his keys and very confused... he asked if this was Nicole's house...no in fact he was there for Sarah..no Nicole here (oops). So basically this Honda hat guy drunkenly drives his ridgeline over at 2 am to get some pu$$y, falls and eats shit in the kitchen, passes out, never got laid, leaves his ridgeline running for 6 hours illegally parked, calls a girl the wrong name then leaves. Then halfway through class, ridgeline guy walks in, fills out his exam in 10 minutes...leaves and I never see him again.

I sold New Honda vehicles (now retired) and was 1 of like 300 or so to first drive the new redesigned 2016 Ridgeline during training in San Antonio TX. I also drove brand new Tacomas and Colorado trucks at this training. By the way Honda put on a great training experience for us there and the food was great at the 2+ day training. So, back to my story. On sand, snow, pavement, dirt roads, I choose the Ridgeline over any midsized truck, as well as for dependability and ride. It will run longer with very few issues if taken decent care of. The Tacoma for four wheeling over any other midsized and it's styling is tops. I am disappointed like many others regarding the styling and low ride of the last two Ridgeline models. They are pretty beefy overall for what they are and they are many things to different people. Most people who don't care to show off with the big trucks they will never use ruggedly and want dependability go with Honda's like I did. Anyone can tear up a 16 yrs old Ridgeline with bad tires to blow out and rip off the oil filter and pan can do it. Like in the video. I have a 16 yr old Ridgeline with 165k and has been driven fairly hard over the years. I pull my 20.5 Benington pontoon with it. No other person I know has a 16 yr old truck with little to no issues like I. Most of the other brands older trucks are running because they put money into them to keep them running. It's my daily driver. I just don't want a new truck. Anyway that's my story and it all comes down to what each person wants, likes, and needs and afford. A Honda is like your best friend. You treat them right and they will never let you down...

I have a 2007 and a 2014 Honda Ridgeline. I love these trucks and the way they look. My 2007 has 300k miles and still running great. Maintenance is as always key for any vehicle.

I own a Ridgeline and I bought it because it’s not exactly a truck! I love that I’m 5’2 and have to hop in and out but also love the flatbed that allows me to haul all my huge items around for my business. It’s not too long and I can whip this baby backward or forward without a problem and can get in and out of all parking spots easy! It is definitely a conversation starter! I’ve owned chargers and other vehicles that sparked conversation but ppl literally run up to me about this beautiful baby! I absolutely love love love my NOT truck!

This is actually the one compact truck I give a pass too, because it’s level of safety. My dad had one and rolled it something like 8 times after being ran off the highway and he couldn’t move until they cut him out of the car and he was completely unscratched. The lil thing totally protected him

It's essentially a mini van which looks like a truck. Super safe, super convenient, lots of nice family-friendly features, easy to maintain for a long, loooong time, and very comfortable. But not meant for working truck uses and mainly aimed at the married with kids city guy who wants to feel a little gritty. But not too gritty.
