Had shitehounds for nearly 20 years, wouldn't have it any other way either. My saluki mix is flat on his back roaching and my deerhound is matching him. Love these dogs too much. Have you seen any of Richard skipworth art? Look him up he's so funny.

I've been lucky enough to have 3 of these creatures. The amount of love I got from 3 Russian Wolfhounds is mind boggling to me. They ask for so little in return!

Oh, I forgot that part and some times bathroom calls in the middle of the night. I used to accuse my 'Zoi & JRTs of trying on my clothes & jewelry while I was at work. Such a mess! Eventually a mutual truce was negotiated on my side. Truce was broken the next day, also this time the kitchen too. No offer of help across the board

I have had sighthounds for nearly 20 years, I couldn't have another type of dog ever. I've had whippets, greyhounds, lurchers, longdogs and a scottissh deerhound. I would love a borzoi. Abby amd clio are completely wonderful. Both girls are lovely

I think you get hooked on certain kinds of dogs early on in life, which is why most people are labrador or retriever people. My family always had terriers and I will have those little dirt-digging, fence-fighting, rat-shaking rascals til my last day.

Yep, I recently realised I'm pretty sure I'm a sighthound person we've had dogs almost my whole life(this has been the first time we've gone a whole year without having a dog while I've been alive) two of the four dogs we've had where part Irish Wolfhound one was half that half maremma and the other had mystery in her. Both of them got almost all of their behaviours from the Irish Wolfhound in them and they were just fantastic dogs

YES ABSOLUTELY!!! I’ve owned sighthounds my whole life (lurchers, longdogs, salukis, whippets), and I could never imagine life with a different kind of dog! They are so strange, but that’s why I love these little freaks 💕 As I type this, my current longdog is staring at me as if I’ve committed every sin known to mankind ⚫️👄⚫️

Sighthounds are super cat-like. It's why people always accuse them of being dumb, they are expecting more dog-like behaviour when it comes to training. Sighthounds are smart enough to learn basically anything you can teach any other breed of dog you just have to convince them it's worth their while and most of the time you being happy with them is not enough incentive
