One kid I knew had the pick of all women. Elite wrestler, cute smile, but only 5'6 and 130 Lbs. He'd literally have groups of girls chanting his name when he went on stage to dance. His biggest asset: The confidence that comes from being the best at something. Does any woman care about wrestling? No. But they care about someone being the best, regardless of the endeavour.

I actually did a research paper on this in college. My study group was females (who identify heterosexual, I had to include that!) aged 18-22 and that is an important factor because older females look for different things, physically. Essentially the breakdown was that the majority liked to look at large bodybuilder types, but they preferred leaner, more cut and athletic aesthetics. They tended to cite that bigger guys looked attractive, but they associated the look with unhealthy routines (steroid use) and potential threatening physical displays (abuse, meat head type behavior). That's what my very small sample showed. 🤷

Athlete's body, warrior's body, and even as little as the swimmer's body is what women like most. It's a masculine frame. You also need the masculine presence (mentality, social proof, competence). Looks open doors but without mental fortitude, personality, and some humor, you'll get pushed out of those doors. If you lead with your wallet, that's all she'll want. Appear with your frame but lead with the rest I listed. I'd read that paper. I did mine on the 7 forms of abuse. Yours would fit well in my filer haha

anecdotally I can say that on average you command more respect from women when you have more muscles that are reasonably defined (15% bf or lower), which CAN give you some edge. It's on a spectrum, some women go wild for abs and arms but most are more like " I don't need it but it shows me he cares for himself and it looks nice", while some actively avoid your guts for being muscular, mostly for preconcieved ideas of your personality/ intellect (which might or might not be true).

Once in a starting strength discussion someone commented on a link to a discussion where women mentioned either what is the first thing they noticed or what they liked most about a man, the most popular response was forearms, but there were also quite a few mentions of the neck, the shoulders, the pectorals, the legs or the buttocks, against everything we believed, although they did mention other things such as the economic part education , facial features or the personality, muscles are very important probably more than we thought or what they are willing to accept

You can get away with a small as a swimmer's body, and of course the athletes body and the warriors body are far more attractive than the bodybuilder body yet realistically you just need to have the right mindset and presence. If you have the masculine build but not the masculine presence, you're only going to get so far. Looks open doors but without personality mental fortitude and even quality humor, you're going to get pushed out of all of those doors.

Good advice, but easier said than done. Imagine that most people in the world don't have the mental capacity to be useful in any workplace in the future. This impacts men first because they need to be useful in some way to gain their status. New technologies leave 99% of people behind (or even more). So I would suggest that in the near future the dating market will become even worse when no big destructive event is resetting this trend.

Look, guys. You don't have to become a social alpha or guru amongst your peer group. Just because you don't have a degree (bachelor's, master's, doctorate), does not & should not disqualify you from a woman. Yes, women are the most "educated" today...But more men are getting trade skills (welding, plumbing, electrician, mechanic, etc...). Some of whom are making the same if not more than "educated" women. Don't believe the self-deprecating lie being propagated that we're doing worse today. Those blue-collar jobs may not be the sexiest to an American woman's eyes. But guess what? Immigrant "Alejandro" and his beautiful wife are laughing at us gringos while they're having kids and steadily building a dream life for their family TOGETHER. "Alejandro" probably cut your grass, built your house, and is currently doing god knows what other hard laboring job as I sit on my ass typing all this; yet nobody knows who he is outside from just his immediate and extended family. He's not a social media influencer. He doesn't own a gym or sell courses (nothing wrong with that, I'm just emphasizing a point). He isn't obese (or else he couldn't work so hard), nor is he built like Captain America, but he's not ugly either. He's just an average-looking, hard-working man. Yet he found love in his 20s (probably earlier) well before he reached his peak. He's still going strong in his marriage, and has forged a union so powerful and "ride or die" that the word "divorce" does not exist. They have their arguments/ups and downs as with most couples, but they work through it like adults. You look up one day and all of a sudden you see a big, brand new, fancy lifted truck on his driveway. His contracting and landscaping businesses (that his wife helped organize and support) have taken off, and now has his kids working with him passing down the family trade. I'm 23, Black, have a bachelor's but still work in my family's businesses. I've seen countless "Alejandro's" in my life while I've been out working with my dad on weekends. And it's the most beautiful/inspirational thing ever. And they achieved their relationships without watching damn near 30-minute-long videos of bs modern dating rocket science. All of y'all need to think on that...Peace ✌🏾

Something that I think is worth pointing out is that there's actually very little evidence to support the idea that there's a beauty-status exchange between men and women, and quite a lot of evidence to suggest that it is in fact *parity* that is the trend. Couples tend to be roughly equal in terms of physical attractiveness and socioeconomic status, and this gels with my anecdotal experience. All my Uni educated friends are with other uni educated people, and all my working class friends are with other working class people.

Agree with most of it, but when it comes to women's looks, status also plays a role for men. There's what they actually are attracted most to by nature, and there's the looks that are perceived as high-status in their in-group at a certain time. That's why you had extremely tall, skinny, hipless women with pronounced cheekbones and hollow faces who were in demand in the 90s and early 2000s. None of those traits are considered traditional feminine beauty but high-status men sought and married those women. It was about signaling your status as a successful man through your wife's looks because of their status, not evolutionary instincts.

Females don’t care for muscles like that , it’s a boost but very little where it’s noticeable. Women care more about financial stability, not being fat , and how you make them feel (personality) !

I think it’s about proportion, aesthetics, and leanness or lack thereof. Muscle vs no muscle is vague

As long as you can drink beer, look decent, and not take things so seriously, you’ll always have good luck with women. Finally ended up saying F it a few years ago and just talked to women and asked them out - standing at 5’3 at 155 lbs. Got rejections of course but after the first few, you get used to it and more comfortable in getting a rejection - if anything, I’m not as afraid and see it more easy going since it’s not all that serious as it seems and the fact 99% you’ll never see them again. It’s all in your head my dudes - just see them as a human being, like you (we all fart and poop don’t we?) and you’ll have an easier time with it (coming from a dude still short, small beer belly, feminist, yet been able to have some fun sessions with lady friends late night in my car - no lie)

Alot of women are attracted to it, but not all of them. Some actually dont even notice it. But all women are attracted to confidence. Having muscle, money, a nice job, clothws, car etc usually makes you more confident (or the other way around). Somd drugs also increase confidence, and that is why some people have an easier time meeting women that way.

Probably one of my favorite videos of yours Bromley. Thank you for using your big ass gifted brain to lay these concepts out for me to understand. I’m 12 weeks into 70’s powerlifter after ending a 12 year relationship and I am committed to growing in and out of the gym. Needed this man, thanks again.

I'm dating up. I'm pretty sure she makes close to twice what I do, but I do make about 25 an hour in a small city in the Midwest. She is great! She roasts me in a playful manner, and she is ambitious like I am. I have a story. I beat drug addiction/alcoholism, life long effort though, and I went from 305 without any added muscle to 240 and fairly jacked! So a lot less fat. I have confidence, and I'm self-aware. I have a great sense of twisted humor. I take accountability for my actions. I can be vulnerable. She is probably the same level of attractiveness as I am, okay a bit more lol, but she sees me for who I am and what I have to offer and how good of company i am.

Dude none of that stuff you mentioned is the real reason she chose you its because you met her height requirement if you were 5ft tall none of that would have matter

I want to say my wife and I were equal when we met 15 years ago but over time there was a shift. She let herself go and put on I’d guess she was 130 when we met and is about 200 today at 5 3 whereas me I got super fit. I was fit when we met but continued to train and got more fit over time. I’m only 5 8 so I never had a lot of options. She recently got her masters and makes more than I do. I’m 52 and she is 40 but we look about the same age. We make a good team that’s for sure but we are opposites. She is a heavy drinker which is why she got so heavy and I have not had a drink in about 10 years

i happen to be tall... but the way women looked at me when i was fat (they didnt)...versus now as the literal embodiment of jack reacher, is night and day. Nowadays i can go somewhere and just stand around and within 15 minutes there will be women that find their way into my orbit. I still have to talk to them and make the first move, but it's pretty clear they're looking to get asked out and selecting me, versus the other way around.

When I was younger I was more muscular, leaner, now I am a bit fluffier, but in my opinion with 10 years of difference, women check me out more. I am more confident than I was, but my face is the same and usually they think I am in my early 20's,despite being almost 34.

because being older is a signal of being more established, having more resources and having social recognition, hence why you're more attractive to women now...

That’s like saying women care a lot about the type of insurance you have because you intentionally went into a nursing home to tell them about it. You’ve pre-selected your sample and pre-selected the stage you’re on to only be aesthetic directed and are surprised when things are aesthetically based. Thats not new knowledge, but applying that externally to the 75% of women who don’t use dating apps at all, and the additional large percentage who aren’t on tinder, the platform for casual sex isn’t exactly reasonable.

There’s 2 things we know from data. The first is that while men focus on a woman’s entire body, women predominately focus on a man’s face, so facial aesthetics are infinitely more important than physique. Then the 2nd, the match group who own tinder released the 3 best performing photos for men, one of them being ‘shirtless ripped abs’, along with a picture with a dog and ‘thrilling adventurous lifestyle’

A lot of men think that big muscles are the ones which get dates. More plates don't mean more dates, sorry. It's about charisma, confidence and how you look at yourself.
