Someone was at cherry festival

Just got back from vacation in Fort Walton, Florida. Went to Eglin AFB's museum and it started raining on us. Fast forward ten seconds, and my family and I are hiding under the wing of an SR-71. Had to slump a bit to not hit my head on her belly. The sheer ridiculousness of the situation is not lost on me, and I've been thinking about it the last 3 days. Like, here is one of the first stealth jets to ever exist which has been places and done things that I will only get to imagine only 36 of them have ever existed, and I, a little American civvie who is too fascinated by metal flinging itself across the sky, am hiding under it from the rain. I couldn't write it if I tried. It's too absurd. Feels like it was just a dream. And to top it off, we took family photos under the thing because we really couldn't do it elsewhere.

Wish I could have seen them but my 4th plans were taking place elsewhere
