It's super important to have fun with whatever you do with music!! After I learned how to have more fun with performance, it really made me want to play more and enjoy the experience! What have you done to make playing guitar more fun for you?

Definitely something I need to work on. I play as a hobby and it is intended as a way to relax, but seem to be missing that part. Not sure what it is, probably spending too much time either on exercises with just a bit of improvisation. I'm generally really tired by the time I go to play. I can think of a few times recently where the excitement did kick in though. Either playing small parts of a song I've been listening to for years. I've used MySongBook in Guitar Pro for this. Other times it's been just noodling to some heavy fuzz. I've even flat out laughed and smiled as it sounds so wrong, yet so right 🤘🤘🤘

I absolutely loved the RMA. I guess all the stress was on you and the other musicians, but for me it was incredible being able to see world class musicians performing in front of 75 people.

Great topic. Ive had to take breaks from 'work' more than once because the music starts to sound like I'm working too hard at it. Also, teaching little kids is the best because they love every noise they make with an instrument. They never stop playing. 🙂
