Think you're too old to start a music career? Jacre knew that he wanted to share his music with the world, but was unsure where to start. Being told that he was too old to find any success and that his music didn't fit a genre that anyone would want to listen to he set out to show the world what was possible. Watch as he shares his story of starting from scratch in 2020 and what he was able to accomplish in under six months once he implemented a proven strategy.

Just to add to this conversation: I've been a professional musician for 30 years. Played thousands of gigs. Finally toured the U.S. in my early 40's. But more recently I signed a record deal with Bentley Records in NYC last year when I was 50. Just released my new jazz album this summer. Now we (me and record company) are applying for a grammy nomination and I started writing for my second release with them. This is just the beginning. Another album on the way. Touring to follow. It's all good. It took a while but I am living proof to never quit and never let people talk you out of your dreams.

I'm always glad to see videos like this because of how I've heard every once in a while, things said on other KZfaq videos making it like being a music artist is only a young persons game. That's where I'm always glad when there's videos like this to show how that's not necessarily true, or not really 100 percent totally true. I'm 52 and working at the music artist thing, so that 55 year old man from the UK starting to make it with his music at 55 is encouraging to me. With it being the rapper thing I've for sure heard it being said on a KZfaq video or two in the past, like anyone 40 and older is too old to be a rapper and them being called Old Heads, I couldn't help feeling like so disagreeing with that, that I made a cool sounding rap song about that called Old Heads. I got the whole song on my KZfaq channel.

I have to say. I recently subscribed to you about a week or 2 ago. I have been watching a lot of your videos. And I'm so ready to start doing music again. I played guitar all the way from my 6th grade year to when I graduated. But I kinda started not doing it after awhile when I seen i was going nowhere with it. But thats because of the mainstream idea that its just luck. "You gotta be in the right place at the right time." Is what I always thought. Now I realize that that's not the case. And I've realized after a long spiritual and mindful journey I want to pick music up again but I want to do it with the production and stuff. Gonna keep watching your vids to learn all I can about the marketing side and how to grow more. I'm getting my gear delivered soon so I can't wait to get started.

It's unfortunate when people go online and express how even at 25 they feel as though no one will want to listen to them. It's a collective jail cell and an imagined illusion. The only people who would like you to believe that at any point you are "too old" are not very happy people.

You know, I've had a chance to whitness your growth for a while and this example of real growth from scratch is really more valuable for me than many other accounts with significant numbers, who made it long ago. Besides, the music you do has a unique style as I see it, which I would say is a bit more difficult to push into the market. Despite all that you still fight against the odds, and I like watching it man, please keep going. I need this inspiration! :)
