what about 360 total security? the free tools and av scanner are doing an amazing job . and it supports software and database updates for free

Extracting dll files during game installation was not allowed by 360 security. What steps should I take to fix it?

Kaspersky does have a free edition so it can not be eliminated, I still have that older Kaspersky Free installer for a version that works on XP. Its a very effective antivirus. AVG/Avast have been caught spying on user files, so those I automatically rule out these days. Its the same product with a different skin. Panda is light but also lacks good self defense if something does slip trough and tries to break it. So out of all these i'd go with kaspersky if you can get it running, I do have some difficulty with its installer at times.

I've heard many people claim that Kaspersky free (18.0.0.405) is good. But i cannof find a place to download it safely ... maybe that is why he rulled it out

I succesfuly installed Panda Dome to my computer, and I can use. But at every startups there's an error message wich says: Agent Service has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovenience. What I should do?

Event Viewer may have some more details about that error. Hopefully something googleable that will get you a solution. Let us know how it goes

@@adventuresinnostalgia There's another free Antivirus, up to date, compatible with Windows XP called 360 Total Security. The latest version works on XP also 32-bit (I tested it and it fully works without problems). It is also a very good antivirus as Panda Dome with a lot of features. He can fully protect your PC but not so fully like the premium version.

ClamAV is good. It still receives virus definition updates. The downside is it has no "on-access" scan. It's a manual scan only

I just Installed Windows XP in Virtualbox. Thanks for telling me but Avast is on my main OS of choice Windows 10. I HATE Windows 11! XP was wayyyyy better and even Windows 7 is good but I hate Windows 11. I also use Firefox as my browser of choice in my Main OS Windows 10.

Yeah, Windows 11 is... You know, hopefully Windows 12 will be better. For now Windows 10 is probably your best bet

comodo antivirus for widnows xp , They stilll update it. They even have a VM sandbox to run your apps in for free. Very good web broswer also with firefox and chrome. They still have Dragon Browser for xp also with antivirus. its free and great , never found a point to pay thr 29$ a year as the paid ver did everything i wanted.
