She had an incredible mix technique. Shes definitely using her head mix here which sounds uniform with the lower range which then gives an illusion of chest voice due to excellent mix technique, proper support and years of experience. Shes definitely my favourite voice ever.

It was excellent. Some of these A5s are genuinely belted. They’re more chest dominant. You can tell by the slight heaviness and intensity. Plus the quality doesn’t change from the mid range.

Some aren’t illusions. At least a 3rd of the A5s are real belts. You can hear the difference between the mixed 1s by the heavier sound and the intensity, along w/the quality matching her mid belts.
@whitneyhouston1122

Yea most are like strained because she's like actually screaming. And raspy and sometimes cracks but in her mixed voice it's supported clean with clarity and can sustain for some time.

6:35 is still mixed voice but is other passagio, is like, m3, people call that part of the voice mixed voice (chest with whistle) but isn't really a mix of that because the real whistle voice is disconnected so can't be mixed.
@mrbigbigtoe
@mrbigbigtoe 5 жыл бұрын
Yup You can mix Falsetto, head, or chest together, but the whistle register is in a total different position which is why a lot of people never even find their own whistles

@geminikid1617
@geminikid1617 3 ай бұрын
@@mademiosellezandiii7729 it’s not impossible. Rare, but not impossible for very well trained Sopranos. A lot of the A5s were chest dominant. You can rly hear the difference in sound quality from Bb5 and up.
@whitneyhouston1122
@whitneyhouston1122 2 ай бұрын
It's not impossible! Sure hard but some voices can go this high and that's what we call high Sopranos. Also Karen Clark Sheard highest note in full voice is a Bb5, that's high! So it's possible. And Patti's is a idk but anywhere from like a A5-B5.
