Moon landing conspiracy theories, debunked
The Moon landings were faked. Apollo 11 didn't happen. Humans never set foot on the Moon. Heard all this before?
Conspiracy theories surrounding the Moon landings have proved worryingly persistent in the 50 years since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took their first small steps on the lunar surface.
NASA's landmark achievement is still being challenged.
Despite there being a wealth of information online debunking these conspiracy theories, the cries of hoax continue. Why?
Moon landing conspiracy theories claim that some or all elements of the Apollo program and the associated Moon landings were hoaxes staged by NASA, possibly with the aid of other organizations. The most notable claim is that the six crewed landings (1969-1972) were faked and that twelve Apollo astronauts did not actually walk on the Moon. Various groups and individuals have made claims since the mid-1970s that NASA and others knowingly misled the public into believing the landings happened, by manufacturing, tampering with, or destroying evidence including photos, telemetry tapes, radio and TV transmissions, and Moon rock samples.
Much third-party evidence for the landings exists, and detailed rebuttals to the hoax claims have been made. Since the late 2000s, high-definition photos taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) of the Apollo landing sites have captured the Lunar Module descent stages and the tracks left by the astronauts. In 2012, images were released showing five of the six Apollo missions' American flags erected on the Moon still standing. The exception is that of Apollo 11, which has lain on the lunar surface since being blown over by the Lunar Module Ascent Propulsion System.
Conspiracists have managed to sustain public interest in their theories for more than 40 years, despite the rebuttals and third-party evidence. Opinion polls taken in various locations have shown that between 6% and 20% of Americans, 25% of Britons, and 28% of Russians surveyed believe that the crewed landings were faked.

ചന്ദ്രനിൽ ആദ്യമായി കാലുകുത്തിയത് നീൽ ആംസ്ട്രോങ്ങ് ആണെന്ന് വരുത്തിതീർക്കുന്ന video ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ അത് shoot ചെയ്തത് വാഹനത്തിൽ നിന്നും ആംസ്ട്രോങ്ങ് ഇറങ്ങുന്ന രീതിയിൽ ആണ്.. എങ്കിലെന്റെ സംശയം ആ video എടുത്തത് ആരാണെന്നത് ആണ്... അതൊരു fake ആണെന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു സംശയം ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ആ video തന്നെയാണ്...

മനുഷ്യൻ ചന്ദ്രനിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നവവർ കുറെ വാദങ്ങൾ നിരത്തുന്നുണ്ട് . ആ വാദങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാം കൃത്യമായ ഉത്തരവും NASA നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.ആദ്യത്തെ ബഹിരാകാശ സഞ്ചരിയായി യൂറി ഗഗാറിനെ അയച്ചു. ഇതിന്റ നാണക്കേട് മറക്കാൻ അമേരിക്ക മനപ്പൂർവം ഈ തട്ടിപ്പ് നടത്തുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് ഇവർ വാദിക്കുന്നത്.എന്നാൽ ഇത് സത്യമല്ല. മനുഷ്യൻ പലതവണ ചന്ദ്രനിൽ പോവുകയും. അവിടെനിന്നും ഏകദേശം 350 kg പാറക്കഷണങ്ങളും പൊടികളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതെല്ലാം ലോകത്തിന്റെ പല ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ലബോറട്ടറിയിലേക്ക് അയച്ചുകൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.ഈ പാറക്കല്ലും, പൊടിപടലങ്ങളും ഭൂമിയിലേതുമായി ഒരു തരത്തിലും സാമ്യമുള്ളതല്ല എന്ന് തെളിയുകയും ചെയിതു.ഇവർ പറയുന്ന മറ്റു വാതഗതികൾ അവിടെ കൊടി പറക്കുന്നതും നിഴൽ ശെരിയല്ല എന്നുമൊക്കെയാണ്. അതൊക്കെ തെറ്റാണ്.അതൊക്ക വിശദമായി വീഡിയോ കാണുമ്പോൾ മനസ്സിലാവും.അവർ കൈ കൊണ്ട് തൊടുമ്പോഴാണ് കൊടി അനങ്ങുന്നത്.മാത്രവുമല്ല ആ കൊടി ഒരുതരം മെക്കാനിസം ഉപയോഗിച്ചു നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ്.മടക്കി വച്ചതിന്റെ ചുളിവുകളും കാണാവുന്നതാണ്. ചന്ദ്രന്റെ പ്രതലത്തിന്റെ ഉയർച്ഛയും താഴ്ച്ചയുമാണ് നിഴൽ അങ്ങനെ വരാൻ കാരണം.പിന്നെ എന്തുകൊണ്ടവർ അവിടേക്ക് ആളുകളെ അയച്ചില്ലാ.പിന്നീട് വരുന്ന ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ചോദ്യമായിരുന്നു 1972 ന് ശേഷം പിന്നീട് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ചന്ദ്രനിൽ പോകുന്നില്ല എന്നത്. Appolo 17 കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ തന്നെ Appolo 18 യാത്രക്ക് സജ്ജമായിരുന്നു.പക്ഷെ എല്ലാ പ്രാവശ്യവും ഒരേ സാമ്പിലുകളും ഒരേ ഡാറ്റയും ഒരേ ഇൻഫർമേഷനുകളും ആണ് ശേകരിക്കുന്നത്.ഏകതേശം മനുഷ്യൻ ചന്ദ്രനെപ്പറ്റി മനസ്സിലാക്കേണ്ടതെല്ലാം മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ അതുതന്നെ മതി.അപ്പോൾ പിന്നെ ഇത്രയും പണചിലവിൽ ഇനിയും ഒരു ചന്ദ്രയാത്ര വേണ്ടന്ന് വച്ചത്.അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് മറ്റു രാജ്യങ്ങൾ അതിന്റെ പിറകെ പോകാത്തത്.ചൈന 2020 ൽ ചൊവ്വയിലേക്ക് തയാറെടുക്കും. നാസക്കും ഇതേ പദ്ധതിയുണ്ട്. ചന്ദ്രയാത്ര നടന്നു എന്നതിനുള്ള ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തെളിവ് റഷ്യ തന്നെയാണ്. റഷ്യ പിന്നീട് റോബോട്ടുകളെ ചന്ദ്രപതലത്തിൽ അയച്ച് അവിടുന്ന് സാമ്പിളുകൾ ശേഖരിച്ചിരുന്നു.അവയും നാസയുടെ സാമ്പിളുകളും തുല്യമായിരുന്നു.അതുമാത്രമല്ല ജപ്പാന്റെ നിരീക്ഷണവാഹനം ചന്ദ്രപ്രതലത്തിൽ അപ്പോളോ യാത്രികർ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച ലുണാർ മോഡ്യൂളുകളും മറ്റു ഉപകരണങ്ങളും കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.നമ്മളയച്ച ചന്ദ്രയാനും ഇത് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.അതു മാത്രമല്ല അപ്പോളോ യാത്രികർ ചന്ദ്രനിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന റിട്രോ റിഫലക്ടർ ഉപയോഗിച്ചു ചന്ദ്രനിൽ നിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലേക്കുള്ള ദൂരം അളക്കാം.ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നും ലേസർ രശ്മികൾ ചന്ദ്രനിലേക്കയച്ചു ഇതിൽ തട്ടി തിരിച്ചു വരുന്ന സമയം നോക്കി ഇപ്പോഴും നമ്മൾ ചന്ദ്രനിലേക്കുള്ള ദൂരം അളക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

I think it was due to the budget. After apollo 11 landing the whole excitement about moon landing died down and even the media didn't coverage the rest of the apollo programs like they did for apollo 11(except for the dramatic series of events happened during apollo 13). People weren't really interested since nothing new or exciting was happening. Congress thought it was unnecessary and very risky to again go to the moon with huge investments. So NASA didn't had any options. If they can't convince the Congress then they won't get the necessary budget for the missions which is huge by the way.
