The nation is experiencing an unprecedented need for medical schools to produce health care professionals with emphasis on oral health who understand the linkage and have the confidence to reach out and talk to other healthcare providers, such as osteopathic and allopathic physicians, and physician assistants with the understanding and knowledge of how it all interrelates in a whole-person healthcare environment.
Students who come to ASDOH experience innovative technology and faculty, where they're seeing many patients in a variety of settings.
Students make an immediate difference at rotation sites and community clinics where they have the opportunity to treat patients in a one-on-one mentored environment.
ASDOH is the only dental school in the country that requires students to earn a Certificate in Public Health, which can then be used as credit to achieve a Master of Public Health degree as part of the only Dental/Public Health dual-degree program.
Students graduate with a skillset that uniquely qualifies them to be a leaders within the dental community where they want to practice. Upon graduation, ASDOH students often become dental directors of community health clinics and nonprofits.
