I do not see many higher power Primary Arms scopes at the range much. I have seen several Athlons and they look really good. We had a match 12-13-2020 and a guy shooting had a Midas Tac.. After looking through the Nexus and the Titan he was wanting to trade. I had an EP4 for him to look at and he liked it too. Most people look at the ret and light gathering on high power. Most scopes will start going darker after 20 power or so depending on the glass. I do not plan on having any Primary Arms scopes but I do plan on getting a few Athlons. They are very popular and hit a good price point for the long range guys. stay in touch.. I have a Tract Scope that will be coming soon. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps.

I shoot competitions so yes 1500 bucks is a lot. But I Guarantee. That the Nexus is the best 1500 scope on market. Vortex is 2200. Nexus blow it away. Thx for video. Do you sell online? The Vortex Razor gen 2 is a noticeably better scope when compared side by side with the Element Nexus at 5-20x magnification and so are the Tract Toric and Athlon Cronus and Ares BTR and ETR. The Arken EP5 is about neck and neck with the Element Nexus when compared at 5-20x magnification and the Arken has better turrets and zero stop.

The SH2 would be a good hunting scope because it has elimination. And the wimmer is the Nexus at 20 power the other scopes ranged from 24 power to 25 power and the highest mag was the Vortex at 27 power. Just goes to show that you don't need all the mag to have a high quality image.
@mikecornelison92
@mikecornelison92 3 жыл бұрын
The SH4 would be a good hunting scope because of the elimination. That being said I have done several night tests and the SH4 has issues with high mag in low light with elimination turned on. I have a video on it at night. It works well up to about 16 power. The Vortex Razor has the best elimination of all. No distortion at high mag and no distortion at high elimination. In the day time you would never see these flaws. Some scopes are good in some areas and others a better in difficult light. I hope this helps.

@mikecornelison92
@mikecornelison92 3 жыл бұрын
If you are hunting in the woods on low power you cannot see the retical. Now if you are prairie dog hunting it would be useful. The scope really shines at the 10 to 24 power. It is a great target and long range scope. Just not a good woods scope due to the fine retical
@commonsense5709
@commonsense5709 Жыл бұрын
The Arken scopes are very heavy but if you don't mind the added weight and start at 10x magnification just to be able to actually see the reticle it's fine. The illumination is useless during the daytime and doesn't help to be able to see the center of the reticle on low magnification.

The SH4 has great glass for its price ..it is really hard to tell the differance between the EP4 snd the SH2. The EP4 internals are heavier built that the SH4. We have used both in matches and both performed amazingly. As far as the string goes you would not be able to see those small strands through the SH2. I know this because I could not see then through the EP4. Typically the more you pay the better the quality control and better glass... I own several Nightforce scopes on lifting an NX8 4-32x and compared it to my friend's Element Nexus side by side and the NX8 is hands down the better scope with more useable magnification range and worth the $1800 I bought it on sale for. It weighs about the same as the Nexus and has more elevation travel in a 30mm tube. When compared at 5-20x to the Nexus the NX8 image quality is noticeably better and it really smokes it at 20x. I wouldn't buy a Nexus for $1500 and to me, it's an upside down negative value for the money spent. If the Nexus was priced $750 - $800 then I think it would be worth buying specifically since it's only a 4x erector with meager 5-20x magnification range compared to other brands of scopes in the 5-25x, 4-24x, and at least the 4-20x Tract Toric that's a lot cheaper and an overall better scope than the Nexus which I feel is massively overpriced for what you get compared to other brands available (The entire Element Optics line are way overpriced).
@commonsense5709
@commonsense5709 Жыл бұрын
A better comparison is the Nexus to the Arken EP5 side by side at 5-20x magnification and the Arken has better turrets and zero stop and the glass is about the same at that magnification range. The NX8 is a whole next level up.

The Tract Toric ELR has better glass optically according to my eyes. It's a better scope overall with a more broader more real world useable magnification range. 15% off Tract scopes if you got family or friends in law enforcement or military. To me, a 5-20x simply doesn't make any sense for practical real world shooting applications when there are many 4-24x, 4.5-30x, 5-25x and even more useable 4-20x scopes in today's market.

TBH I'm not really a fan of Arken. I get real eye fatigue when shooting using Arken scopes with both the SH4s and EP5 during prolonged shooting sessions. Only the SH4 line of scopes has illumination.. The EP4 has no illumination.. Thanks

Arken's illumination isn't daytime bright and doesn't help when on low magnification when the reticle disappears.

How would I do that? You can film through a scope but the image is not at clear as it is with the naked eye. Tell me how you would do it!!

You would be wrong my friend.. Several scopes are made as well and in some cases better!! if you have never compared you would not know.. I spend ALOT of time on the range talking to different people and looking at different scopes including Not-Force... If you are a fan boy that is fine. to each their own.. We prove EVERY match that the scope does not make the shooter.. But if you have more to spend on you gun???? well things get better faster.. hhhmmm.. something to think about???

@@pantherhollow5290 not a fanboy here, just a fan of what works best for me. I own an Element Titan and love it! But it sits a top my FX Impact air gun . Nightforce ATACR’s on both my MPA’s. Just for reference from someone else who spends a bit of time on the competition range...and you may look at past year’s top scopes as well. precisionrifleblog.com/2020/09/05/best-elr-scope-and-scope-mount-and-rings/

@@aeropixx The Titan is a great scope for sure.. But I was more so talking about the Nexus.. Have you had a chance to look at one? That's great that you are having good luck with your Night Force.. I have seen ALOT of scopes fail in the cold and Night Force was no exception.. And I restate ALOT of scopes start to fail after it gets below 30 degrees. I just ran a match in the snow with my Demo Nexus and had ZERO issues. Other shooters had issues with sticky turrets and parallax knobs being so stiff you could not turn them. I will be releasing a video soon of what I put the Nexus through.. Thanks for the commentary. I always enjoy talking to guys that gets out and runs their gear. It makes us all better in the long run.

@@aeropixx Just to clarify.. We are comparing a Night Force that costs $3100 to a Element Titan $800 and Nexus for $1500.. Correct?? If so,,, I would be wondering what I spent twice the money on?? Does the scopes in question (Titan, Nexus and Arken) not do all the same things that the $3100 scope does? Repeat to Zero Clear Glass Great recital options Useable recital Zero stops accurate recital in moa and mil plenty of elevation preform in adverse conditions GREAT warrantee just a few key points. What am I missing?
