Fantastic kit, goes together with no problems. Also you can insert the instrument panel after you've glued the body halves.

Definitely looks like it will be a rewarding build. About that rivet detail- have you considered skipping primer altogether and just airbrushing the color coat straight on (after a thorough cleaning of course)? I’d hate to lose it all as much as you would. I ask because though I haven’t tried it myself I’ve seen other KZfaq modelers say it gives good results with modern paints, depending on what brand you use. I suppose doing an adhesion test on the sprue or inside of the wing or fuselage where it won’t be visible might be a good idea. In any case I’ll be watching with interest. I didn’t vote in the poll so let me do so here: night fighter for the win.

Excellent looking kit, the detail is indeed remarkable for 1/48. . It appears that many model companies have gone to the very detailed set of instructions which is extremely helpful! And I can see has added to the kit cost , but an addition well worth the price. I wonder which company started this new standard - I first encountered it via Eduard, so maybe they are the progenitor. Would love to see your build out on this one, its above my skill grade at the moment after returning to the hobby in retirement, but certainly worth investigating in one for future build. Hi MN, this looks like a very fine kit and I'm eager to see what you are going to do with it! If you opt for the night fighter scheme are you going to use matt black (as per the instructions) or are you going for a more grayish black like rubber black or NATO black?

Not familiar with this brand, but they seem to have their products well organized and crisp parts.

At 0.51 is that a kiwi aircraft. The painting on the side looks very much like a Maori carving

Hello again Stu - ARMA IS DOING A BAIT AND SWITCH ON THIS MODEL. I want to inform you on two issues, maybe I don't understand foreign marketing - here is the situation although I have no problems with Eduards. First you are a lucky man in getting this kit, . I was thinking of seeing what the status of availability and pricing was for adding it to a future build and contacted ARMA To my surprise and disappointment they responded they are NO LONGER OFFERING THIS KIT, but will be selling it as a threesome for a price well above the value to me. They have three levels, ( including 3 kits), with additional accessories in each level which is not bad, however, I don't want three Hurricanes. and prefer to spread my budget over my building interest. I've informed them I will not be buying from their company at all. This bait and switch will start being available August 21. I thought you might like to know about this deception .

Hi Stu, this is one of my favorite planes. I also like the Spitfire and the Zero. I saw a build of a Hurricane and the modeler created a commissioned piece to make an actual reproduction of their Grandfather's plane. Amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing this project. I can't wait. Thank you sir.
