Armies of Exigo, a Fantasy RTS Similar to Warcraft 3!

Armies of Exigo is a fantasy RTS from 2004, it's very similar to Warcraft 3 but how many of us know about it?
Apology about the resolution and audio, I'll try to figure something out for the future Armies of Exigo videos.

Hero’s with items are the best and most unique part of Warcraft 3. No other rts has met that challenge.

I mean, they made the single player and playing with/against friends fun. They completely break the competitive though. The stupid ass Undead rushing 2 ghouls and hiring the Crypt Lord hero. Unless you knew it was coming it will destroy you 100% of the time. Crypt Lord raising carrion beetles from every corpse will mean that they outnumber anything you can put out.

Oh nice metal fatigue had an underground section you could go to for resources too. Btw elves had made an alliance with humans as early as warcraft 2.

Interesting, I could see a bit of AOE2 because of the medieval aspects, but could you please explain why SC2? I might learn something

If first thing you need to do is to ask if this is a rip off of W3 or not, then it's a major red flag. Game released 1 year after W3, exactly same races (human + elves combined being the only difference), even mini map looks the same as in W3. Gameplay just feels awkward and boring when watching this, probably units too slow, map too big. No heroes to farm neutral camps and level up means you just need to travel absurd distances to reach the enemy base. I can already tell why did this game die and there is no surprise. And yes, it is a copy pretty much. Nothing original, just got all the ideas from W3 and put it in the new clothes, that's all. Too bad they didn't improve anything but made it much worse instead.
