No your question isn’t a stupid question at all. One of us is still a newbie too. We haven’t had a chance to paint much with the speedpaints 2.0 yet only the original speedpaints. So we haven’t had an opportunity to try wet colour blends yet. But we imagine the faster drying time would mean you probably have less working time. Although since we haven’t had the chance to try yet we can’t say for sure so sorry we can’t give you a better answer right now. If/when we do get a chance to do so would you be interested in a follow up comment or video on it?

Thanks for replying. We will try to get to it when we can. I am currently on vacation so no painting is happening this week but I hope to be back to painting and video making when I get home and hopefully we can give this a try and give you a better answer.

Great question! I’m sure people have different reasons for which set they want to purchase but I’ll just name a few that apply to why we chose the mega set over the complete set but someone else might have completely different reasons. 1. The cost difference (i believe it’s around 175$ American difference between the two sets) 2. We already have the original speedpaint mega set and don’t need duplicates of all 23 of those colours (4 duplicates that come in this set is enough) 3. We aren’t really interested in the metallics. Also It’s very easy to make any colour speedpaint into a metallic on your mini. 4. While there might be a few of the pastels or other new colours we might like We aren’t really interested in the other 12 new colours enough to justify the additional cost. So for us it didn’t make sense to get the complete set. Perhaps if we didn’t already have the original mega set we might have waited and got the complete set but already having 23 of 89 colours it wasn’t worth it for us to get that set. Hopefully that answered your question.

Yes that’s also a great point steeb. Even the mega set is very expensive and the complete set even more so. It’s a lot to spend at once for many people when most people don’t need more than a couple of each colour especially with the speedpaint medium to lighten colours or make your own colours if needed.
