As a multi-stan I feel your rant so much! I started with BTS and still love them, but I have discovered other groups including ATEEZ. I rarely get on Twitter anymore because of people making the same kind of comments that you mentioned. It is so frustrating. I listen to a lot of latin pop as well, but you don't see their fans/fandoms getting upset that I listen to other latin pop artists. Everyone should just listen to what makes them happy.

BTS and BigHit weren't nearly as poor as ARMY thinks. Learn some things about BigHit and BangSooHyuk. Bang PD was a household name as a composer since the mid-1990s and was a founder of JYP. BigHit has had many successful solo artists and has been financially comfortable since its inception. BTS was "poor" because they were the company's first boy group, and the company didn't want to invest a lot of money in a boy group if it would fail. Any time they really, genuinely needed something, BigHit made it happen. They were ridiculed because of GLAM's scandal, not because they were poor or because BigHit was unknown. That doesn't mean tgat BTS didn't work hard to be where they are. They worked harder than most. But they had WAY more support than yall think.

Warning new ATINY often experience bias overload, especially in terms of the wrecker. I'm double-biased with San & Yeosang, while Hongjoong, Yunho, and Mingi wreck me.

I enjoyed your reaction a lot but as a comment has already said, I don't agree with a lot of things in the video. This video involves a misconception about Yeosang that has been really popular among atinys as well. The whole thing about "him being shy about his vocals or he himself wanted less lines that's why he didn't get many lines" is actually a lie made up by some "atinys" which has spread so much among the fandom that the fans have actually started to believe it. He has never once said so. On the contrary, since 2019, he has mentioned several times how he wants to show us his talent more and hopes that he gets more lines in ateez's songs(especially title tracks). Once during a fancall, a fan told him that they watched kingdom(a show) just for him and to get to know him and his response was that they won't be able to find him on the show since he got very less screentime and doesn't have much parts in their performances. When asked about his favorite songs on an album, he named a song and said that the reason is because he has more lines in that song compared to the other songs. Also, I am not denying that he has a shy personality but he was never shy about his talent. He has been passionate about his dream of becoming an idol since a very young age. When his parents were against his dream during middle school, he fought for it but had to both study and train at the same time to fulfill his parents condition. In fact, when he was a trainee at bighit, he passed all their monthly evaluations and we all know how difficult bighit's trainee system is. After leaving bighit, he was chased by SIX DIFFERENT COMPANIES and hongjoong in an interview mentioned that the manager at kq put in a lot of effort to get Yeosang to join their company. He said that the manager REALLY wanted yeosang and was even willing to kneel in front of yeosang to request him. Also, he was the most popular trainee. He had fans, fan accounts and fansites even before debut while he was a trainee. He was very talented, popular and sought after by companies even before debut. So that speaks for itself. People can be shy but when he worked so hard for his dreams all these years and was even good at it and had already received great appreciation for it then why would he suddenly get shy about or wouldn't wanna show it? What I think was the reason for his mistreatment is(this part is just what I THINK so take it with grain of salt but all the above things are true): I think that firstly, the producers at kq were incompetent and didn't know how to use his voice correctly because he has most unique tone(the deep and baritone voice. The difference between his and mingi's deep voice is that his voice is smooth and calming while mingi's is more grungy and raspy) within the group and that is why he was just given like one line per song. The voice he has is the kind of voice that tends to become the most popular voice in other groups(for example:V of BTS and Felix of Stray Kids). The only difference is that the other groups understood the power and appeal of deep vocalists but KQ just wasted his talent for so many years. This must have effected him and his confidence a lot. The producers made him feel like he wasn't as good as others that is why he doesn't receive much lines. Real fact- the first he got complimented by the producer was FOUR YEARS AFTER DEBUT and yet the compliment was just " Now you have something " as in some talent to show. Also, I think that the company wanted him to be the "typical kpop visual" who just attracts fans with his beauty and has no talent. I think these could've been the reasons for his treatment and some fans used his shy personality to cover it all up. I know you haven't checked all ateez's discography but if you do, you will see that the line distribution is just ridiculous( try looking for him in your future mv Or performance reactions). Especially in their early 3-4 years, they didn't even try to hide the fact that they weren't treating him fairly. He literally sings(rather than singing, I would call it saying) one word three times in the entire song(wave) and that's it. His parts are so short that if you start focusing on him during their MVs Or watch his fancams you'll start getting uncomfortable by how less he sings. And the parts that he does get are not the best suited for his voice. Also, he has been a lead dancer of the group since debut but wasn't treated like one. When he officially released a cover for the first time, all the atinys eactors who were familiar with ateez were like "We didn't know he could sing like that". Well it's because they never actually let him properly sing in their songs five years into their career. Even though, recently he has started to get little more lines than earlier (after so long and with so much struggle) but we still don't get to hear him actually sing. Most of his lines are either him saying the line in his deep voice with tones of effects over it or a 2-second singing phrase. And the most fucked up thing about it all is that his own "fans" who are supposed to support him and stand up for him are the ones who made up a lie to cover the issue for God knows what reason. This lie has effected his career and image so much that a huge portion of atinys think that he is not talented enough that's why he doesn't get much lines or screentime. Many a times, certain"atinys" who claim to love all members have openly insulted him and disregarded his talents when Yeosang-biased atinys raised their voice against his mistreatment. I am NOT saying that all atinys are like this but there is a huge chunk of such fans who are either unaware of his talent( because not everyone watches solo covers and he doesn't sing much in ateez's songs)as well as the mistreatment or just don't care enough about him. I hope that atinys stop this lie from spreading and actually let new atinys know all the truth that has happened to him in these past years rather that just lying about it to maintain the group's image. He is also one of the members of the group and deserves as much love and opportunities as the others. These are all the things that I thought were important to make you understand the situation but still it doesn't cover the whole thing. If you are interested in anything regarding what I have said above or want to know more about his mistreatment or just him in general,feel free to ask me. I am more that willing to help anyone who wants to learn more about Yeosang. As a Yeosang-biased atiny, I hope soon the time comes where gets the opportunities and the appreciation/praise that he deserves but has been denied all these years for no reason.
