I think what I love the most about the two of you, the joy that you get out of the smallest things. Dolls, paper masks, tiny theaters, and gardens. You both find so much happiness in everything. It makes me feel better.

One of the things I love about SAKFAB is the spontaneous way you have of sharing your lives. The funny stories, even of the troubles you have with your renovations and the window is So real, everyone can relate to some bad decorating decisions that they have made in the past. I just love how truly real your videos are.. I am thrilled you are continuing your Wednesday SAKFAB stories. Also, I think that CHER looks her best as a blonde. I can't wait to see the new bigger doll house.... Have a good week and a safe trip back from Sweden.

SAKFAB makes me so happy. I'm here enjoying some quiet time, and it's the best time to enjoy watching you two. No interruptions! But, Arne, that doll is creepy! I could see the eyes following me. Weird! Love looking at the water while listening to your stories and relaxing with my knitting. Have a super week! ❤

And Arne, I think your dolls are so much fun. It is so cool that you make clothes for them. I have always loved dolls and I’m 66 yrs old, haha. Keep enjoying the summer and life in general. Those pieces of wood that run between the window panes are called muntins. Fun fact - they are sometimes confused with mullions, which I see someone else explained are the vertical pieces between two windows.

Just think of all the little birds lives you will have saved by changing the window... sounds like they'll be better able to see it with the wood mullion dividers you've proposed, which will help, but given your location near the water, they may still see a lot of sky & water reflection from their side of the glass... the black hole you mentioned seeing, Arne. Something to seriously consider. I know and appreciate how much you love watching and knitting birds in the garden. Look up "Bird Safe Glass" and "Bird-Friendly Building Design" for more resources. Thanks and thumbs up for Vardo 🐦🐦🐦

Wow ... I also had to have my house raised with hydraulic jacks in the crawl space... but mine was only 2" total, done in several increments. This still caused diagonal cracks over several doorways. I was inside the house while they did it ...and it was frightening. The contractor did not ask if I wanted to remain inside ...there was a lot of "snap, crackle and pop" sounds in the doing of it. With the last lift I really thought the house might come down around me from the sounds in the attic space. So very glad that was repaired. I hope your new window[s] will be just what you like!

I enjoyed this video so much, and having gone through building a house from scratch and years later, major renovations after moves to different houses, it is never easy,. But it makes for interesting stories- thanks for sharing. June 5 edit: Coincidence! I saw your post yesterday, went to a miniature store 2 hr. away today, and found the Leonie von Wilckens book you showed on the second-hand book shelf, so course I bought it. Just arrived home but will be reading it very soon! (I live near Seattle, Wa.)

It looks so nice where you are sitting and seeing the lake behind you. I totally understand the renovation nightmares and going through something similar right now and can't wait for it to be done as I also have a new puppy and it makes it harder to deal with! I love that colour you are making the scarf in.....it is a happy colour! I hope you enjoy your visit with your parents Carlos. Arne a vase with peacock feathers in it sounds like a great idea! I just bought the pattern for the scarf and will try to cast on but won't probably be able to keep up with you as I am slower at knitting and especially a lace pattern and have to really concentrate when I am knitting so with a puppy it is hard to do so.

I started a linen lace scarf a few weeks ago, but I definitely need to start a new one with your pattern. I found a Barbara Walker pattern book from 1968 at a thrift store and have been making tiny swatches. If the pattern is easy I can memorize them…. BUT it would be so much nicer with charts! I might be inspired to glue in my own charts. My old knitting and quilt books might become “scrapbooks” 😊
