In 2011, Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver divorced after 25 years of marriage following shocking revelations that Arnold had fathered a child with the family housekeeper after a secret affair in 1996. Joseph Baena was born only five days after Maria gave birth to their fourth child, Christopher. In last year's Netflix documentary 'Arnold', the Hollywood megastar admitted the infidelity and his "f**k up" tore his family apart after revealing the affair to then-wife Maria during a marriage counselling session.
Joseph and his dad now enjoy an incredibly close relationship and bond over their joint passion for all things fitness and bodybuilding.

To ask him about being the son of the housekeeper, from an extramarital affair, is so low. The boy had nothing to do with whatever decisions his father, mother and other adults made. It looks cruel and out of place. The focus should be on Baena's achievements. Pure tabloid journalism.

I agree, bit low to ask a question like that. But he’s doing things in his own merit, and he doesn’t need his dad’s surname to get him where he needs to go. HE is doing it in his own, and Arnie is being a supportive parent 👍🏾

Joseph comes across as such a down to earth, thoughtful individual in the face of constant reminder of the circumstances of his birth. It made quite uncomfortable viewing. It doesn’t matter. He is loved, he is thriving on his own terms. I doubt very much that Joseph will read this - but you handled this like a champ. Much respect to you Joseph.

This was a RRRRREALLY uncomfortable interview. Almost like a parody. Asking very intrusive questions, not respecting boundaries, constantly talking about his father, and pushing him on things he's not there to talk about. Please show some more respect next time - for any guest.

This young man handled himself very well whilst being asked to respond to ridiculous questions. He was a child of 12 when he discovered who his father was, why should he comment on the breakdown of his Dad’s marriage? Thank goodness Joseph manages to turn this interview around for these two hosts. We wish him well.

@@vitareed5375I knew Joe when I was younger and he was always close to both his parents. Even if some of his siblings still hold some disdain for him is mostly now due to sibling rivalry since he’s been making a small name for himself recently bc the media loves their resemblance even without having his dads name he’s undeniably his son, he’s the only one of his kids to inherit his genes, shared interests, humble beginnings and hard work ethic despite the unfair scrutiny and hate he’s been receiving since he was a minor... I Love to see it and sincerely wish people would just respect that he’s his own person and worthy of his own respect regardless.

I've been very curious about Joseph and after watching this, wow, he's fantastic! He handled these two goofs questions with such composure and grace. He's got the Arnold spark and charm for sure. Can't wait to see how his career evolves.

I am so proud of Joseph Baena, his Latina mother did a great job raising him, he turned out to be a decent well rounded person. I am also proud of Arnold for not abandoning his son and supporting him. Both Arnold and his mother are great parents.

Susanna Reid displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and decency. Instead of focusing on the actor's career, she delved into his personal family history in a sensationalistic and disrespectful manner. Her invasive questions about the actor's parentage and family circumstances were irrelevant and hurtful. Her attempt to embarrass him based on his family's past was wholly inappropriate and displayed a disregard for journalistic ethics. It is admirable how Joseph remained composed despite her unprofessional conduct, and was able to redirect the conversation to more positive topics. However, Susanna's behavior should not be overlooked. Journalists have a responsibility to uphold integrity and respect, and she clearly failed to meet these standards. This interview serves as a cautionary tale of the dangers of sensationalism in journalism. It is essential for journalists to treat their subjects with dignity and refrain from personal attacks and humiliations. Anything less undermines the integrity of the profession.

Whist Arnold's surname is a little sketchy in the English speaking western world, I am convinced Reid is pronouncing his name wrong. That said, all decent parents love all their children no matter what, but Joseph must be the one making Arnold proud the most, educated, into fitness, real estate and acting. For some strange reason I am just getting into Rookie Blue (avoided it when it was running), looking at his look and tone of voice he would be a perfect cast member if it was still on. Trying to pin the end of Arnold's marriage on the discovery of Joseph is gaslighting, sorry Arnold was always a cheat and lucky Maria head out as long as she did, it has nothing to do with Joseph at all.
