Welcome to Moldova! I am an American who moved to Moldova over two years ago. My wife and I live in a village home where we grow our own crops, raise our own chickens, pick our own fruit, gather our own nuts and berries, and make our own wine. It's a simple life filled with simple pleasures. I love it.

Hi from Tirana! From what I see in videos I am impressed with wide boulevards and good public spaces. Although I think the local government should do more in improving the main roads of the city( no excuse the main boulevards in disrepair in Chisinau) generally speaking when I compare with my city Chisinau can be quickly fixed. I am a fan of Moldova and if my finances allow me, I would gladly spend a week there enjoying the good wine you have!

I enjoy travel videos. Moldova certainly deserves attention. What I don't like about this video is that it is more of a continuous selfie (I'm guessing 80% of the time we are seeing this nice-looking guy, not Moldova). I know this vanity narration is a trend among our KZfaq travelers, but voice-over narrations work better. Sure it is nice to include yourself and other traveling partners occasionally.

I follow one Russian KZfaq Vlogger that does the opposite. He films drone and scenary shots with narration commentary. He only shows his face at the very beginning or ending of his video. I actually like his earlier videos when he walked the streets, narrating, showing the sights, interacting with his surroundings and talking with locals. It was more personable and candid. As if you were right there with him and he's showing you around. Now its ALL scenary and him reading a lengthy narration. His videos are now dull and tedious. So there needs to be a balance to make a good travel vlog.

I left Moldova 2 years ago. First what impressed me the disinformation on certain things. Try to see how beautiful the city and the entire country was before 90's. The Hotel near the place you stay was impressing, it was destroyed after 2008. After Moldova got independence I think lack of wise people got to make the law and steel as much as possible, corruption is in force since 1990. I am not for Soviet Union or Europe no one will come to make you rules but during Soviet Union the main architectural building were built, the streets were clean, a lot of population, every child was obligated to attend the school. Now everybody is leaving the country, when you see that you can not fight you move. It would tear you in pieces and pain to visit the rest of the country....

That big hotek "Cosmos" isn't unfinished. It was the biggest hotel in the Republic during the SSSR, and all the rich people from the rest of the SSSR came to stay in it when visiting Moldova.

@thelifeorjord that is not Cosmos it’s Hotel National and it is not unfinished, it was supposed to be reconstructed a few years back but obviously that never happened. I was a hotel until early 2000s and then was more of an office building for a few years, I remember going to a beauty parlour in one of the rooms.

I think Moldova would advance faster if they integrated into Romania. Moldova was quite prosperous when they were part of the U.S.S.R. They were "the garden" of the U.S.S.R. with so many agricultural farms of fresh fruits and vegetables. Besides that, many Soviets spent their holidays there because of the weather and scenery.

No thanks bro, most of romanians dont want that, because at elections they always vote for comunist parties, so if our countries would unite, it would be a major minus to our romanian economy. We really had enough of ex comunist mentality and etc.Let them vote for commies for ever

First class was nice on the train just loud and hard to sleep but weather was chilly with breeze coming in from window. Also toilets were yuck but expected and not the worse toilets I saw in Romania.

You have another youtuber Jason Billam Travels exploring the same areas that you are. Do you guys know of each other? Lol. That's kinda interesting to know that 2 youtubers are in the same city/country.

Let him be. He has forgotten where he comes from. Don t u see that he has forgotten that the 4 star hotels in Manchester, Heathrow or Gatwick like Marriott, Arora and Radisson are old and smelly. YES! Old and smelly! With light switches and furniture from British "soviet" epoch. With defected bathroom amenities. Not even speaking that u walk every 10 minutes and see puke.

I've ridden the Bucharest - Kishinev train once or twice a year since 2013, and i think it's my favorite train. Maybe Moscow - Kishinev is better but that is a much rarer avis. The Prietenia is better on a Young Pioneer Tours trip. Great time, amazing company and plenty of drink. But watch out your shoes might get stolen.......

Nice video. The only thing is that Transnistria is not recognized by any country in the world as a country. It is recognized as a region of Moldova, inclusively by the USA.
