Arsenio is irritated and annoyed when members of
the gay rights organization, "Queer Nation" decided to interrupt Arsenio as he was about to introduce his guest Paul Hogan. Arsenio was ticked off at their protest and decided to respond.

i would disagree because these are the celebrities that younger ppl look up to.. and the average person tries to emulate their style/wardrobe/mannerisms etc.. now, if id emulate someone like Diddy, Biggie, Dr Dre, Aaron Hernandez, tyrese gibson etc.. id like to know that i wont be emulating a homosexual.. those guys play the role of an alpha, but in reality.....

@@ynoter being gay shouldn't be a selling point, though. you should like them for their personality, not their sexuality unless you want to like them just for that. sometimes being gay is something people want to hide. now, sexuality is talked about a lot...but still, it shouldn't control everything.

@Zo Kay i said "IF".. but alot of ppl emulate them because they think its cool and think that what ever they wear, how they talk, etc.. is "in" nowadays.. and if you rocking what these famous celebs are rocking your sex appeal points skyrocket in the dating marketplace.. thatss why you see the typical "fuckboy" wear skinny jeans and some of them with dyed hair..

I mean we black people do it all the time. When a marginalize group has been beaten down for so long and things are finally starting to turn around. There are going to be people who see their difference as a uniqueness. For example “I’m black and I’m proud” and things of that nature. Hell even BLM became a damn trend.

This interjection has courage and historic merit as it did much to propel gay rights. It brought the issue fairly and squarely center stage where, apparently the host could never do it. It sure touched a nerve with the host. The cult audience goes down in US history for the world to witness too: it goes down as loud gullible frenzied - unthinking, not independent, sheeple

Blucifer “ THIS IS MY SHOW “ He’s delivering FAKE messaging otherwise known as lies. He’s an egotist with a deluded wanta-be audience - he got a network contract because he knows his place and can keep the slavery workplace and consumer culture (the network advertisers) - in tact with superficial entertainment and without question. JUST LIKE: ELLEN DEGENERES BILL MAHER JOHN OLIVIA STEVEN COBERT STEPH MYERS... I dare say people watching late nite after serving the transnationals all day haven’t even a glue of the truth tellers who are very much around but who never sold out. The corporate host shrills have a field to play in but it certainly has an electric fence. The bottom line is the network - SIX CORPORATIONS CONSPIRE TO CONTROL 90% OF USA MEDIA: GE, News Corp, Disney, Viacom, Time Warner, CBS Don’t confuse independent liberals (humanitarians) who have helped changed societal bigotry against gays and other matters as the make or break of a night show host: the host has a capitalist right wing boss who has has no morals, just profit motives to self and shareholders. BTW don’t confuse good liberals with those carrying water for the Democrats. (see my incomplete list of show hosts) On that I’ll agree with you.

spawnjg The only cases of physical violence that I personally know of against gay people, involved them aggressively seducing straight people. That is openly hitting on uninterested people and then implying prejudice when their advances were spurned. Another occasion was of a gay person walking around dressed up in clothing that did not cover their private areas properly. In other words exhibiting themselves in public where even children were in sight. In those cases the gay men were thrashed by members of the public, but that’s in Africa, where justice can often be handed unexpectedly and swiftly.

Funny, I thought the exact opposite. I just didn't know where he could go. He's either had gay guests or he hasn't. He can't, or shouldn't "out" anybody and it really would be indelicate to tick off names if he had had gay guests. When he pivoted to race I knew he had nothing. I'm not saying that he lost the argument tho. While on the spot, and being blind-sided, he would have had to: think whether his guests were gay or not, and then, think whether they were open about it, and then, think whether or not they would mind being dragged into the argument. Too much. It's also quite possible that he doesn't know, or care, whether his guests are gay or not and only mentioned Elton John because he's so unabashedly flagrant. He easily came to mind.

By those rules though, Arsenio should have *anyone/everyone* on his show, because everyone in life regardless of who they are will encounter _some_ form of prejudice either by gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, politics, religion, age, nationality etc etc. Arsenio's point, as an entertainer, was to provide entertaining guests. @impressme7991

He has never called anyone to violence against gays or even made jokes about them being murdered so blaming him or any comedian for that is ludicrous. I don't know where you are getting your statistics from. Everyone gets made fun of by comedians and people need to learn to laugh at themselves and not get so damn offended. I'm a ginger and comedians talk about how we swallow people souls. Like he said makes fun of tons of people. Everyone needs to lighten up.

@@impressme7991 It's ludicrous that you don't easily see the very real-world negative effects that a nationally televised talk show host mocking gay people has on that already heavily ostracized community.
@impressme7991
@impressme7991 4 жыл бұрын
And they should be ostracized. That lifestyle is filthy and disgusting however comedians make jokes and usually there's a bit of Truth around the joke but it's not demeaning and hurtful unless you want to take it that way. you decide how you feel and respond to what somebody says about you. Gay people are so accepted nowadays. Comedians mock tons of different people and you don't see everyone else going out there crying saying that their life is torn apart because of what some comedian said or that they want to commit suicide because of what a comedian said. If you're not happy with yourself and your lifestyle that's because of you. Do you hear about gingers out there killing themselves because people say that we don't have souls? Or that we are creepy and ugly. Remember the joke I'll beat you like a redheaded stepchild? it doesn't hurt my feelings because I know who I am and I don't care what other people think about me. However if you're a sodomite maybe you should feel bad about your life and who you are sexually. I have a brother that's gay and I think it's disgusting and he knows it. Now if comedians are making fun of the way they talk, or their body language so what? you can usually pick out a homosexual because they all sound like they went to the same school on how to act like a fairy. if the comedian is saying they should hang themselves or something horrible like that then no I don't agree with that, it's not funny.

Buzzkill 808 Raven - If you actually want equality, you need to stop demanding preferential treatment. If you continually force EVERYONE else BUT you to walk on eggshells regarding your people, i.e. "can't say ANYTHING, even in a good-spirited humorous manner, about ANY non-heterosexual person that could POSSIBLY be taken in a derogatory manner by ANYONE(even if joke has absolutely NOTHING to do with said-person's sexuality)", then all you're doing is forcing everyone else to define you by your sexuality, and in-turn are yourself slamming the proverbial brakes on progress made towards genuine equality...
