Thats so cool! I'm glad it helped. I was looking for this video when I wanted to buy it and could not find one. So I decided to do a video (even though it kinda sucks lol) but you won't regret it. Happy shooting i still love it to this day and no issues

Looks very sturdy and rock solid James and a great addition to your set up. A great reach and also gets low to the ground - those spikes are a great addition but like you, not sure about the mobile holder !! Great review and first thoughts :)

I have the rtc-90, thick legs (40mm), carbon fiber and it is well made and sturdy. I use it with my DSLR, my 500mm lens and it works great. It used to be Innorel, it is now Artcise now. Mine cost 320 dollars since it’s the RTC-90. It can handle 40+ Kilos.

You know my friend has that version as well. He puts a telescope and star tracker and camera on there and it and it is is rock solid. Pretty good product for the price in my opinion

I just ordered this tripod. Thanks for the great video. Please use more light on yourself when filming. I like to see people's faces when they talk. And when you sit in the shade, it gets way too dark.

when i first saw the cell phone holder. my first thought would be its perfect for firework displays so you can shoot stills and have your phone recording the vid. I usually wrap my gorillapod on my tripod leg to do the same haha. I guess it can work for any event if you want to record and shoot together

I haven't used that holder since I mount the gopro on a gorilla pod or just put it to the side. I see how it can benefit some people but not for me

I think I realized that later. My friend bought that version and it's so much bigger. He uses it to mount a star tracker and telescope for astrophotography

Since it has been a few months, how have the twist locks held up? I'm not really a fan of them either, but never used them for an extended period to be fair.

You know I had never used them either and they are holding up just fine. I've had them in dirty river water and desert sand and still going strong. I should ask artcise to send me a free one for all the promotion ha!

I just ordered one of these from Amazon on Friday-was planning on putting the Benro S4 head on it and giving it a spin. But I’m surprised that you managed to comfortably put a 502AH on these legs. I use two of those heads in my work normally. My plan was to buy the bigger one for those heads (heavy legs are killing my back). But if the smaller one works, I’ll go that route. Any issues in practical use over time with that combination? And does the bowl have locking screws? Thanks for your thorough and careful review-very practical information.

Hey Jonathan I'm sure you will enjoy it. Mu friend has the bigger version and it's MASSIVE.. he uses it for astrophotography and mounts telescopes and star trackers. 502AH fits perfectly and jo issues for me as I do mostly photography vs video. The bowl is really weird though.. it has locking screws but not very fluid.. not very practical if you are in a fast moving situation like shooting birds and wildlife but should be just fine if you have time to set it up and dial it in as needed.

@@forced_perspective I use the bowl just to level prior to rolling. If the tripod is good enough for my Canon c70 in the interview setting, I’ll buy a second one for the bcam. I did a one man crew shoot for five days in Louisville recently and just about fell out with all the heavy gear. I’m looking to lighten the load. Thanks again!
